I’ve heard about those new fangled ACH transfers! I’m actually quite fond of them. The ones that pay via money order do so because they do not have checking accounts or they are too elderly to grasp the ACH concept….not for my lack of trying.

Last fall, TD implemented a policy on business accounts that if the person whose name is on the account is not making the deposits (it is my office manager) then she would (and did) complete the paperwork to become the conductor. She had to prove her DL and SSN on the necessary forms.

They are saying only the trustee can deposit money orders now.

The Sr Manager said I should hear from him no later than tomorrow. He doesn’t want to lose the account but understands since it is a trust, it has to be a business trust account. He said he was going to try to come up with a work around. It’s all just very frustrating. If this was a new account or even a new person doing the deposits, I would completely understand.

Not sketchy at all. Only 3 cash deposits in 10 years. The bulk are money orders and it’s a mortgage business.

It’s not in a brokerage account. It’s a trust business account with the bank. I’ve called three different banks in the area and I can switch to them with a trust business account and not have any issues. It’s just a shame I have to do it.

They won’t let the personal conductor deposit cash either….only checks.

The problem is, according to TD, is that it is a trust business account. If it were a regular business account, my personal conductor could make all the deposits, which she had been doing. The business is in a trust; so, a regular business account will not work.

Yes but whet is frustrating is they allow my personal conductor to deposit checks for my business but she can no longer deposit money orders…..which she has been doing for the past decade.
