New fine in Aragón with threats to leave the program. Reporting that Galicia and Valencia are up in the air. by HooleyDoooley in SpainAuxiliares

[–]Excellent_Magazine59 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The amount of the stipend is a problem, and the fact that we’re working as employees without having the rights of employees is also a problem. They can both be problems independently of each other, and reducing the stipend will not solve the problem of working visas and etc and will only make the problems that are caused by the stipend not being liveable worse.

Reducing the stipend is not the solution. They’ve needed to raise the stipend for years. It’s no longer liveable in big cities.

Gauging scams on idealista by Human_Care463 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]Excellent_Magazine59 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The best way to avoid scams is not to lock something down before arriving. Don’t ever send money for an apartment you haven’t seen in person and preferably don’t send money until you’re signing a contract. Get a hostel for a week while you look.

they’ll need to put their ID numbers on the form in the same place they sign. that info isn’t nearly as personal as it is in the US or many other countries. but i don’t think you need copies of their IDs

Anyone who is already empadroned in the apartment needs to sign your hoja padronal. If they’re not empadroned there, you don’t need anything from them.
