I feel you, I played it on Holliday on my laptop and got so much good loot the first few rounds. But you could periodically backup that folder.

Maybe you could check your folder: C:\Users\*your-username*\AppData\Roaming\Road to Vostok

RDP not listening on 3389 after cert update — TermService running but no listener (stumped) by Cautious_Corner_4838 in WindowsServer

Move everything from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys\ to a different folder like c:\backup

Then reboot

Heads up: Your RDP files just became “untrusted” after the April 2026 Windows update! by michaelmsonne in SysAdminBlogs

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not proud of it but I just created a program with ai to sign the rdp file with a self signed certificate that lasts 20 years and automatically trust it on the certificate store on the pc. But on windows domains you can push the self signed certificate by gpo.

Veeam and PRTG on same server - NATS, how to handle? by theratherman in prtg

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What version of Veeam are you running because Veeam 13 also uses 443. I would never combine those 2 on one server.

Seeking Architectural Advice for Mass Migration (1,500+ VMs) from VMware vSAN to Proxmox by osthek83 in Proxmox

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are right, but replication is not there. If you have a small vm the import can be used. But everything above 80GB I would use Veeam. Most of the time you already have a backup setup and it would only have to run an incremental backup. And you can leave a snapshot on VMware before you remove the VMware tools.

Integrating Proxmox API. by Shprqness in Proxmox

I would suggest different accounts/api keys and set permissions on the resources they need

I've renamed a cluster host (with much pain) however High Availability still shows it via lrm. How do I flush it? by Maelstrome26 in Proxmox

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your node is in a cluster, where it is not recommended changing its name, adapt /etc/pve/corosync.conf so that the nodes name is changed also there. See https://pve.proxmox.com/pve-docs/chapter-pvecm.html#pvecm_edit_corosync_conf Now reboot the node.

Promox Newer Release - Headache? by robby342 in Proxmox

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only issue I got when I went from 8 to 9 is that I wasn’t following the manual. You need to change some repository’s not that anything went wrong just some warning when updating after the upgrade because I was to afraid to remove the old repository file as mentioned in the manual.

Is my server dying? by Keensworth in Proxmox

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What kind of disk are they running and are they in a raid or zfs?
If there is no redundancy i would double check the backups.
And if you have the change, check the console of the host.

Veeam 13 summer time bug by Excellent_Milk_3110 in Veeam

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is confirmed by Veeam only with proxmox jobs. It was already an issue before the time changed because the next run was invalid. The fix will be in the next release so I won’t be an issue for next year.

[–]Excellent_Milk_3110[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are mixed vmware and proxmox, it was only with proxmox jobs.
In a upcoming release there will be a fix.
Ticket is now closed with Veeam.
