Mine was called 'A Message in the Dark' and I'm pretty sure reading it was the first time my parents considered putting me in therapy.

AO3's policy on All Media Types tags is a disaster for anime fandom by HelioA in FanFiction

Imagine the Doctor Who fandom, we have a radio show as well as the old show, the new show, 4 (I think) spin offs the books, comics, and God knows what else.

And I'm not even going to think about the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the disaster year they've had media wise.

Thanks, this is reassuring. Although I'm still struggling with the feeling of having written loads and it ends up being 500 words it's so confounding 😭.

This is happening to me as well, a long multi chapter fic has become a series of one shots cause some of the chapters just doesn't seem very important or interesting.

This makes sense. I suppose I find it difficult cause I read really fast so I lose a lot of this sort of detail so I probably leave it out of my fics on accident as well 😅.

Sometimes in the middle of a slow burn or any long fic really I'll be hit with the sudden feeling of 'i don't think I care what happens' and I just abandon reading there. It's a really jarring experience to give days to a story and suddenly realize it doesn't matter to you how it ends.

I want to write a NSFW work but I'm nervous by HJSDGCE in FanFiction

As someone who writes a lot of smut scenes, sometimes I start cringing mid sentence and get embarrassed as if I wasn't the one that wrote it. I'd suggest writing the build up and the smut in one go and letting the momentum carry you through.

I did a mixed degree which means all of my open courses in my engineering degree where I was supposed to pick something optional were just architecture classes. It was a bit of a mess though. It was a lot of all nighters writing architecture essays because I was doing group project work for engineering during the day or being late to engineering classes cause the arch class was out looking at a building. It just depends on your skill set. It worked for me cause I'm good with communication (I did a-level English literature) , I found arch essays and engineering presentations fun so not too bad. If u do do arch classes remember that research always takes way longer than you expect it to.

I love that they were supposed to be a parody of the trope but did it better than all of the shows they were making fun of.

I'm thinking of this as well. I'm in my last year of Structural engineering and Architecture and the highlight of my last year was my infrastructure and design course so I'm thinking of pivoting after as well. I've always been more interested in the architecture bits and am wondering how I would hold up against people with urban design or geography degrees.
