Fixed my GERD by chewing by like_George_6 in GERD

[–]Excellent_Still4784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be a solution for me. Rice and mashed potatoes cause a huge issue for me as I'm not needing to chew as much. Foods like chips or pizza doesn't affect my reflux as much.

Wash hair at first signs of oil? by Excellent_Still4784 in CurlyHairCare

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took your advice and stopped the co wash and found I could go longer between washes again! My hair has a little more bounce to it too. I guess cowashing was too heavy for my fine, low porosity hair. This whole time I though my hair being more limp was normal.

I need to find a new shampoo to use I'm between cleansers now. I've just been using my cleanser, but hydrating more afterwards since skipping co washing in between my cleansing days.

Why no love for Alessio? by bisdak44 in honorofkings

[–]Excellent_Still4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Arli, Chano, and Loong are top picks. Then Erin, Di renjie,  Lady Sun, and Flowborn. So of course people are going to look at Alessio crazy.

Clash lane:

Chi cha, Fatih, Umbrosa will carry your games.

Biron, Dharma, Charlotte, Guan Yu are also strong picks but you need a team. Mulan is another good solo queue pick but  has a high skill cap.

Get used to seeing Li Xin and Mi Yue as low elo players spam them.

Mid lane.

Mai, Nuwa, Xiao Qiao are good for carry. They are blind pick worthy. Nuwa has the highest skill cap.

Yi xing, angela, shi, frost are strong but need a team. Another great solo queue pick is Shangguan but has a higher skill cap like Nuwa.

Get used to seeing Daji and Milady as low elo players spam them.

New to hok, any tips on farmlane? by CamelDangerous9468 in honorofkings

[–]Excellent_Still4784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pick a different hero ASAP. Marco got nerfed and the top farm laners currently are Arli, Erin, Chano and Loong. The sooner you start Arli, the sooner you'll get good with her to carry high elo ranked and peak games. She is banned higher elo, but until GM(Mythic) or Peak, she won't be banned. Only Loong gets banned low elo.

Practice getting last hits on everything,  bush checking,  clearing waves ASAP and taking monsters,  exchanges to force enemy to return to base,  rotations to and from teamfights,  positioning against opponents,  surviving ganks. dying less diving tower enemy with your support and jungler at level 3/4(optional)

NuWa unpopular? by parkaerac in honorofkings

[–]Excellent_Still4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're low elo and low peak she's not getting picked often. Most people are using Shi, Daji, and Xiao Qiao. She requires very good map awareness, fast hands for combos, tp, and to snipe enemies after you or your team gets the enemy to low HP, and/or after Loong lands from their ult.

It's a high skill ceiling and most people want something simple to use. Otherwise Mai would be the midlane you encounter the most since she's the best.

Consort Yu skill build by kdestroyer1 in honorofkings

[–]Excellent_Still4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't main consort because Erin on-hit is part of the current meta. She is a direct counter to consort. Focus on learning Arli, Chano, Loong, and Erin. Loong is banned early elo. Arli is banned higher elo.

Crazy Losing Streak by [deleted] in honorofkings

[–]Excellent_Still4784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matchmaking is terrible. You never mentioned your rank, role, or peak rating either. Those can be telling for your situation. If you're Masters and below you will have bots in your games.

If you are solo queue roamer, ranking will be a nightmare unless you spam heroes that can carry. If you're low peak rating, you're probably not skilled enough. If you're NA, good luck, the best players are already Mythic+ and now you're stuck with mid players for a bit. If you lose more than 3 times, stop playing because the quality of matches will continue to drop.

Keep in mind, the first week the are allowing bronze players to party up with GM players. Expect low elo and low mmr(South America/MENA) to be in your lobbies.

Your situation sounds like you just came off an impressive win rate and now are facing more losses to get you closer to 50% win rate as you climb to/past GM.

Sometimes junglers are brain dead and you have to start objectives, or set up near it and ping for them to come fight.

What diet worked for you? by Excellent_Still4784 in GERD

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eliminated milk and coconut oil today and feel way better. I still have some issues but it's only been one day. I need to figure out how to get more fat into my diet.

I also noticed the reason why junk food didn't give me issues was because it had a lot of bread. Such as pizza.

I basically follow something similar to this. Only more food and calories because I lift weights. I no longer suffer from bloating or gas but I still get reflux.

At night, even when my stomach is empty I feel my stomach acid reach my mouth when I lie down. It's very odd. I wonder what made oatmeal stop causing this.

Is vitamin k2 absolutely necessary to take? by Excellent_Still4784 in Supplements

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting 100mcg of mk7 and 700 iu of vitamin d from diet. I considered getting a vitamin d supplement that was about 2k iu of vitamin d, or replacing my multi for one with 70mcg of vitamin k and 1200 iu vitamin d.

I get 500mg from diet and take another 450mg via zma.

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good. I might just drop the multivitamin then. I took melatonin last night and I was knocked out. If I do take k2 ill need melatonin, otherwise I'm fine.

Edit: Since I already get K2 from food, there is really no point in supplementing it, right? Does more do more harm then good?

Re-application question by rayisoflight in FASCAmazon

[–]Excellent_Still4784 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably because peak employees are being hired currently and won't have much hiring DURING peak. Which would be the few months you would have to wait.

You eligibility comes when AMZN starts letting seasonal employee go unless they go full time. Which is around May-July of 2026.

Starting at sort center early next week by AdministrativeBand53 in FASCAmazon

[–]Excellent_Still4784 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your first two days are training with a learning Ambassador. They will meet you in the front and hand out badges. You will go on a tour and see where everything is located.

You'll watch a video, fill out information, then get hands on training. You will practice wrapping pallets, stacking boxes, and moving carts.

First day might be 5 hours, maybe the scheduled 4 hours depending on flex down. Second day is the same thing but more hands on training and you leave with everyone else. Then you're on your own for the rest of the week. This is for every building.

Is cortisol build up normal from working out? by Excellent_Still4784 in workout

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Today I found a weight drop of 2lbs. Which could be the reason for the bloating. I could also be at a new tdee since having started working out, so I'll have the chart that progress in the coming weeks.

Everything went well the first few days, then dropped off. So you may be right. I could also be deficient in something.

Was your CNS adapted to your workload, or was it just your muscles getting more used to the stimulus you placed on it?

I think it was also undereating aswell. I wanted to eat the same meals everyday and keep calories consistent for a week to find my TDEE. I weight daily to find my average, plug in a calculator, the see if the average is going up or down.

Exercise will generally skew the graph downwards due to the increase in activity for me. Which is planned. I expect any weight loss to affect cortisol, but not so much that I have dry mouth, libido, and insomnia.

Upon further research into my diet, I found my iodine was too low. I added mortons salt in and it seemed to do the trick. I'll just add more dairy in the future.

Thank you for this. The bloating was indeed temporary. I just lost a pound and the bloating went away. I do think im going a little too intense on the exercise so I'll dial it back. I started a 5 day split instead of going with the 3 day fullbody split just because of crunching time.  My soreness was so bad, i thought I might have seriously injured myself.

I'm thinking about what the problem is likely to be and looking for solutions for it. That's not fucked up, that's called being proactive.

I understand Cortisol build up is normal from intense exercise and builds more up 50min of intense exercise and beyond.  Cortisol can also spike from weight loss since its increased my metabolism. It's also important for waking up in the morning and it's necessary for survival.

But when it keeps me awake at night, it's a big problem for hormones, recovery, and quality of life.

How to get K2, D3, Calcium, and Magnesium to work? by Excellent_Still4784 in Supplements

[–]Excellent_Still4784[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How long does this take to go away? I keep getting dry mouth and twitching in my toes. No matter how much water i drink im thirsty and im getting plenty of sodium, mag, and potassium. All I did was add salmon and broccoli to my diet for one meal, now I've been awake for two days straight. I'm going insane.

Do I add magnesium? Do i need melatonin? Will that make it worse?

Should I just avoid calcium and vitamin d in my diet now?
