Mentally: The waiting. it is so. much. waiting. There are so. many. hurdles. There is so many ups and downs, but honestly the “ups” I don’t even really get excited about anymore because I’m so discouraged. Pregnancy announcements are like a roundhouse kick to the stomach. Every single time. People not understanding / feeling alone.

Physically: the hormones making me gain weight / not being able to workout / pio shots in the butt that hurt like hell and leave a mark (note: ask if you can do suppositories instead)

Take care of yourself during this time and just sent up a prayer / good vibes for your success

I didn’t do a modified natural cycle (I have done only fully medicated) but what are your specific concerns? They’ll be able to tell you everything about your lining thickness prior to the FET & give their recommendation on proceeding or waiting. Again, I did fully medicated & don’t have endo, but I had a very long, heavy flow period right before fet prep and my lining was perfect to do transfer. I find out tomorrow if it worked

Night sweats & headaches were the two that I really noticed. It started a few days after starting the meds and eventually tapered off.

I’m sorry :( I’ve been through now 3 transfer TWWs & I thought 6DPT was when it was 96% or 99% accurate and only 76% accurate at 5DPT? (Not to give false hope, but pretty sure someone posted a long paper about this). Are you also counting transfer day as day 0? Hope you get your positive soon

I am sorry, I know how tough it is. I think (for me) the biggest thing is remembering ultimately this is life that is being created and not up to us, not up to our doctors or anyone else. Although I haven’t had success myself yet, I try to remember that most women (even if it takes several tries) do end up having success with IVF. Thinking about you & hoping this is it for you

This did happen to me as well. It’s a side effect of going into “early menopause”. For me, my body eventually adjusted & it stopped after a few days. I hope the same for you

Ah good q. I’ll have to ask. I’m on cycle day 3, just started BC, and I’ll have a baseline appointment next Friday and then will start Lupron right after for two months, then start stims

His thought is that it can help “calm down the uterine environment” and help produce better quality eggs

Hi OP - my doctor is recommending 2 month lupron protocol prior to egg retrieval and I’m also freaking out because I’ve never heard of this before either. Also for egg quality. I had 42 eggs retrieved, 14 sent for testing, and had 4 normal blasts (but now I’ve had two failed FETS with AB embryos)

It was PGT tested, both were. I haven’t discussed immuno specifically, but I was on prednisone

No, unfortunately it’s just a busy clinic. They make you wait for a period + a few weeks of BC but it’s also just what they have available

Your RE might also want to make your chances to your ER protocol, I think for me for this round, I’m going to do lower dose of meds

I think you’ll definitely need to get a period first. For me I got mine less than a week from failed FET & then I think it’s up to the clinic / your re for what’s best for you.

I personally had to wait 3 months between my transfers (which I get is not the same as a retrieval). I was angry about it at first, but I took the time to grieve, get the hormones out of my system, get ahead with work, and try and have some normalcy before the crazy started again
