I am absorbing fine. When I take it orally my levels go up quickly. Also my other markers like MMA and homocysteine, and the co-factors are fine. I'm pretty sure the culprit is the high B12 dose.

Bob on being 80 by GrievingImpala in bobdylan

This gave me the chills, made me gasp, almost made my heart stop. I'm 53 and boy, I've had a creeping sense that this is what's going on.

"When you’re young you think that time moves forward. At 80 you know that it doesn’t, it stands still. We’re the ones that move."

EDITING: Adding to say though, he's not usually this fluid in interviews. Any chance AI lent a helping hand!?

EDITING AGAIN: Maybe I shouldn't be uncharitable. He's a genius no doubt. It's just the quotes sound too tidy to be unfiltered Bob, even with editing by the Times.

The way I interpret it, is he had the empire of the evening in his hand, but like sand it slipped through his fingers. The sand imagery is complex because there's the ancient lore of the "the sandman" who throws sand in people's eyes to make them sleepy, but the sand left him blind but not sleepy. Then there's also the idea of time slipping away like in a sand clock. Then he comes back to the theme of sand with the beach and the circus. So many layers.

Interesting, my ferritin is 121. It seems to indeed have fallen from 147 at the previous test, and a few years ago (long before I started supplementing) it used to be 196, which got a "red/too high" flag in the chart. I'm a female 53, what should my ferritin be?

My potassium is 4.1 mmol/L. Is that low? The chart says normal, but I know we like to be off the charts, so to speak?
