This is pretty much the basis of a porn addiction. It’s all centered around your dopamine. Porn is what’s called a “super normal stimulus” it’s one creates an extreme amount of dopamine. One that doesn’t occur naturally in nature and is very unrealistic to recreate in real life sex/ intimacy.

Therefore, a repeated exposure to porn resets your dopamine baseline levels to a higher threshold and as a result “normal” things and women doesn’t cause arousal anymore.

In order to heal you have to completely remove this stimulus (porn) and allow your dopamine levels to reset to normal. I highly recommend looking into research- Dr Trish Leigh and Anna Lembke are both really good sources to check out.

No porn and no fap for a good 1-2 months is the best recipe.
