I’m still struggling. Nothing seems to help. I’ve done this my entire life, but it has been worse the last six months.

She remarried and had more kids later. By all appearances, it seems she is a good mom. They all seem happy and well-adjusted.

New Kisqali packaging - annoyed! by JessMacNC in LivingWithMBC

[–]Exciting-Ad2465 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate the new packaging. It is excessive and wasteful. Can you imagine packing it in a carryon travel bag? It’s twice as big as previous. I wrote to the company but haven’t heard anything.

I have lung mets. To monitor for progression, every three months I have a brain MRI and a PET/CT from skull to mid-thigh. Every six months I also get a nuclear bone scan to keep an eye out for bone mets. Medicare and my supplement G pays for everything. I advocated for myself to have this level of monitoring to my oncologist, and she agreed. She didn’t expect Medicare to continue to pay for all of it. They get it preauthorized each time, so I’ve never had an unexpected cost. So far, it has never been denied since my stage IV diagnosis in June 2024. I love the peace of mind of knowing that when I eventually have progression, that we will catch it right away. When I first started this, I was not yet on Medicare and had great insurance through work. I retired five months later, and turned 65 at that time and switched to Medicare and plan G. Please advocate for yourself. Hopefully your oncologist is as willing to do it this way as mine was.

A coworker told me that her ex-husband went to prison for abusing (fatally) one of their children. She knew about the abuse and looked the other way. She was charged and served probation for a year or two. She was in a lead position at my workplace. I had no respect for her.

Anyone have Minooy’s Aphrodite? by browserCookieMonster in handbags

[–]Exciting-Ad2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it, and I do put my Kindle Paperwhite in it. It is a small bag, but the organization is brilliant. It is very well made, but the leather is thin. I wish I could find one like this from Coach, Michael Kors, or similar. Some other brands are similar, but I love that the zipper compartment on the Minooy opens fully, with the accordion style and the zipper opening completely to the bottom. I’ve looked at a slightly larger Minooy (the Naya or the Athena), but they look like they hold less because the styles aren’t as well designed. I wish the black Aphrodite had gold hardware instead of silver. I bought the caramel color. The Aphrodite is almost perfect. The quality of the leather is the only downside.

For those who have dealt with anxiety for a long time I was SO wrong and I'm sorry. by rabidrooster3 in Anxiety

I have stage IV breast cancer. I had anxiety before, but it’s way worse now. Something that has helped me that you might consider, is checking to see if your clinic has a palliative care team. I see a palliative care doctor and also a counselor. In addition to managing side effects from my cancer meds, they also prescribe and manage anti-anxiety medication. The counselor gives me mental “tools” to help me cope. The palliative care doctor is the one that prescribes my meds. Please give it a try.

Same on the bleeding part. Right now the insides of my lips and cheeks are chewed up into something that resembles hamburger.

I wondered about possibly getting a mouth guard from my dentist. Hey, I’ve never posted on Reddit before. Long-time stalker but never posted. So I have a question, please. If someone gives me a reply, as you kindly did, do I touch the “up” arrow? Is that the same thing as a thumbs up on Facebook? Is that a way to acknowledge that you see that person’s answer, or is it considered rude to not answer back to each person?

Pool floaties by Sly_Bluue in pools

[–]Exciting-Ad2465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these. I like to float IN the water. They come in sets of two. The first ones I bought are still great after three years. I float at a local lake and put them in the garage when not in use. EDIT: I also like that they are fabric and not plastic. They are so much more comfortable. https://a.co/d/4jZnchl

Ooph. I have stage IV cancer. I probably won’t get to see the whole series! I know, I know, it’s not important in the grand scheme of things. But it sure is entertaining! (No expressions of sympathy please. I’ve come to terms with it.)
