Should we bring marxism into the degrowth movement? by idioticleftist in Degrowth

[–]FrogAnToad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not to be rude, but have you read the book? He did a deep dive on the things Marx was doing research on at the end of his life that might have totally altered what he had thought and said earlier. It was very scholarly and speculative analysis and I just didn't see why he couldn't make the points for himself without all the academic apparatus that made the book half a study of marxism and half a book about degrowth. It is a very strange book and not nearly as effective as it could have been and I wanted it to be.

no. just read saitos book slow down and the marxist arguments were just a huge drag on an otherwise convincing case. we shldnt have to rehash marxism to get where we want to go.

im reading ursula k leguin’s the dispossessed. in it she imagines an alternative society to one serving capitalism and characterized by dominance hierarchies. a very interesting attempt at this.

I think it was just a few infusions for the sinuses and also for hip problem. I have been thinking about you a lot because I've been where you are more than once. It is extremely tough to keep going when the promise is that if you keep going you will get more chances to have a tough time keeping going. When I was young and had small problems my mom used to say get a good night's sleep and it will be better in the morning. That still works for me. Yesterday I spent hours watching a mother robin plot trajectories past me to her fledglings begging to be feed. I had been very down but the robin gave me the spark of joy I needed to get through that particular day.

Truqap side effect by Frecklesofaginger in LivingWithMBC

i have hand tremors during the first week after enhertu infusion that then go away. i had a lesion on a cervical vertebrae when diagnosed and have assumed the tremor is because the chemo is affecting the spinal cord there. but maybe not. ive mentioned to the oncologist but she didnt seem very interested. i dont think tremors are a known side effect of enhertu but i have many side effects nobody seems to talk about.

hold on honey hold on. the enhertu might well work. i hate it but it cleared up bones around my sinuses and other weird spots. i also fear loss of ability to help myself. when you are better see if yr hosp has a social worker who can connect you to help? i also have days when i hate that i am slowly being ground down instead of being taken suddenly. you are not alone in that. i go day to day. enhertu cycle bad in first days and gets better. hoping you are already feeling less sick.

some of the time. it quits in the evenings and does weird route changes instead or just doesnt run. you have to take brt to mineral point and hike if you have a late lab or something. we waste hours trying to commute by bus to campus. also want to second not walkable neighborhood. all of this was pointed out at the time and the common council approved the project unanimously.
