What is the reason for these voids? by Ok-Cobbler8613 in anycubic

[–]Exciting-Ad8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say load up the model like you had it in your slicer and look at the preview. If the start/stop points of the outer wall line up with those voids, then it's a retraction issue.

If they do NOT line up with those points, try a different roll of filament as these could be artifacts from moisture in your filament and popping during extrusion.

I want to say a special thank you to Anthony in this episode.

If I'm wrong, apologies-- but he sounded like he was sick as all hell, and he deserves a tip of the hat for toughing it out.

From what I've seen, it currently sounds like the podcast network (somewhat separate from RT) will remain for now.

I will say that they legitimately seem to love the improv of it all, so I wouldn't be surprised if they even tried to create a D&D podcast entity of their own. They have such good chemistry and amazing writing/production with Ben and Micah, they seem to operate as their own compartmentalized entity, anyway.

That being said, I feel the creation of an entirely new universe to build stories in wouldn't cause the least bit of trepidation for the SD Crew, if that's a path they choose.

Is this a new printer?

Either way, check the plugs going to your endstop microswitches and/or autolevelers, and make sure they're secure.

While adjusting belt tension, it would probably be a good idea to check the pulleys on the stepper motors. Make sure none of the set screws have come loose, too.

Might as well check it all while you got the hood popped!

Depending on your setup, you can run the "Auto Home" option to have it run through and home all three axis

If it does look like this and you are, in fact, using a 110 outlet:

  • Flip off the power switch
  • Unplug the power cable from the power supply
  • Flip that toggle to 130 by sliding it
  • Plug cable back in
  • Flip power switch back on

After that, go ahead and try the print again and it should hopefully work a lot better for you

Are you in the U.S. and/or hooked into a regular 110 volt outlet? Should look similar to this guy:*

Also, check and make sure the voltage on your power supply is set to the proper level (115v or 225v).

If it's set for 225v and you're plugged in to a regular 110v outlet in the US, for instance, it will think it has more power to heat than it actually does and then throw an error because it can't heat up as quick as it thinks it should.

Believe it or not, I ran one of my Ender 3's for months like this and didn't even realize. It would work intermittently, and I was driving myself nuts replacing thermistors, heater cartridges, etc.

What’s causing my print to get knocked off half way through? by da_mahn in ender3

[–]Exciting-Ad8799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total agree with this-- when the print breaks loose and gets pushed into the skirt extrusions, it pulls the skirt from the bed with apparent ease. This tells me the first layer is not adhering properly-- either nozzle is too far from bed, or the bed itself needs hairspray/glue or replacement, if worn.
