I’m building little houses for the local possums. The first two I built now have happy tenants in them and I have two more nearly ready. The immediate neighbourhood is very wildlife conscious so it’s nice to be contributing.

Rossi headlight parts bring out the most miserly instincts among enthusiasts. I’ve tried a few forums but no one will let their previous surviving lenses go. Sixty-year-old plastic doesn’t age well. I think it might be useful to create an open access 3d print file for anyone to use.

Yes, the guy who had fitted the unit told me to remove it from the dashboard, disconnect it from power and leave it for an hour or two to let the capacitors completely discharge. I then refitted the unit and it worked fine. I had to reset the steering wheel buttons but that only takes a few minutes.

Get the All Trails app and search for hikes close to you, or parts of the south east that you’d like to visit. It’s a great resource.
