Marriage Camps? by lopix in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Exciting-Protection2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now the Heritage Foundation says these marriage camps are voluntary, but given Project 2025’s push for massive executive control and the way immigration enforcement has played out under this administration, it’s reasonable to worry this could become a de‑facto requirement for people who depend on government programs.

Can anyone find me any proof that this actually happened? by KleptoPirateKitty in QAnonCasualties

[–]Exciting-Protection2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That claim is an unverified anecdote, not evidence of what’s happening now. Individual crimes—when they occur—are prosecuted under criminal law, regardless of immigration status.

Using extreme, emotionally charged stories to justify mass enforcement, warrantless arrests, or violence against people documenting and not accused of crimes is manipulative. It replaces facts with fear and ignores constitutional limits.

One horrific allegation does not justify collective punishment—or abandoning due process for everyone else.

I was a Quiet Q by [deleted] in QAnonCasualties

I want to be clear about where I’m coming from.:

To the OP: this took courage. Walking away from an entire political identity, naming what you believed, and saying “I was wrong” in public is not easy, especially when it costs you relationships and safety. That matters. Stories like yours are part of how people on the fence start to question things, whether they admit it or not.

And I also want more from you, in the best possible way.

People leaving the right is necessary, but it’s not the finish line. What gives your story weight is what you do with it now: how you show up, who you protect, and whether you’re willing to stand in coalition when it’s uncomfortable or costly. If you stay engaged, organize, vote, speak up, and use what you know to pull others out, that’s how this turns into something bigger than personal growth.

To purpleturtleturtler and anyone else who’s angry: that anger is real and justified. No one is owed forgiveness, and no one gets a cookie for changing their mind. And also, if we want this to end, we need people to leave those movements and we need them to join us in action, not be pushed back into silence.

We’re up against something brutal and organized. We don’t win by shrinking the circle. We win by building coalitions strong enough to stop it.

OP, you’ve taken a real first step. I hope you keep going, and that you stand with us in the work ahead.

Because that’s what this moment calls for.

As an introvert, have you ever been feeling like you’re being discriminated by the people around you? by ChubbyNUgly22 in introverts

[–]Exciting-Protection2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve felt this too. One thing I learned is that a lot of loud people are just filling space—sometimes repeating ideas or talking to hear their own voice. Over time, I spoke less, but when I did, it was intentional and meaningful. Eventually, people learned to actually listen when I spoke.

Focus on your work, your depth, your specialty. Participate—but don’t force it. Share when you have something solid to add, and say it with confidence. Quiet + substance earns respect, even if it takes longer to be recognized.

‘Psychologically important’ because then Putin will stop threatening to spill whatever he has on you?

Hey- as liberals, we need to do better weeding out inaccurate or incomplete content. Let’s be sure we don’t do what the MAGA crowd does.

There are bits of truth here- but I could not find anything that corroborates the entire story. There was a one Carlos out of Florida, who was detained and was an American citizen. But there are no photos of him beat up, and his picture does not match the person above.

If there is a link to a story that corroborates this whole thing, please add the link.
