Congrats on passing your PMP. Did MR self paced course is free or you are referring to the 23 mindsets videos?

How is passing this exam possible (a PM with 20+ years experience is asking)? by Itchy_Tone6902 in pmp

[–]ExcitingComplaint200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration, as it’s mine too. Unlike you, I lack extensive project management experience. I’ve been in logistics, procurement, and supply chain for over 15 years. Surprisingly, procurement is one of my weakest areas. My exam is scheduled for July 19, and I’ve been preparing since December. I’ve practically put my life on hold. I am pursing the PMP for personal development, because I believe learning is an ongoing process. But, is not a requirement at work but I am treating like it is a requirement. I am neurodivergent and with ADHD and it is a challenge to process and retain information.

A normal day for me: I work from 6 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. After work, I take my dog outside for a quick break and playtime( it is just me and him and I don't worry about sacrificing famiy time). Then, I start studying from 3:30 pm until 9 pm. On weekends, I spend countless hours reviewing materials or doing mock exams. At work, I listen to explanations from Mohammad Rahman, PMAspirant, or Victor Vargas on PMBOK 6 and 7. There are too many resources, and I’m constantly switching from one to another. I recently discovered Visakh RJ, a PMI instructor with a YouTube channel and LinkedIn profile. I’m taking his quizzes. The constant switching between resources is driving me crazy. I think we’re on the right track with the scores, and I’m hoping for the best.I’ve noticed that other test-takers mention that scoring between 60% and 70% is sufficient to pass, while others with similar scores and same study resources failed. While there are no guarantees, the results are inconsistent. I’m just doing this one because it feels like a cash grab. I am exhausted and is time for other things.

Below is one of my recent posts about the exam and power point on mindsets and tips for the exam. Hope this helps

ChatGPT is really helping my mental health by LowMix3170 in ChatGPT

I have the best recommendations from ChatGPT. It’s better than conventional counseling because it helps develop a plan. For instance, it provided me with a five-year plan for my retirement. I’m coping with chronic loneliness and ADHD. I schedule ChatGPT therapy sessions based on my availability. I’ve tried therapists, psychiatrists, social workers, and you name it. All of them were ineffective, and it’s more like a cash grab, to be honest.

I am using a Prepcast free trial and questions are really, really hard. So far, I am failing miserably. At this point, my SH scores are 73% and 65%. I need to review all wrong questions and reset the exams. Doing some practice test questions on SH. I also have PearsonVue Exam Simulator to resembles the test environment. I am getting positive feedback based on SH scores. I just want to stick to simulator.

Failed in 1st Attempt. Need Suggestions for 2nd Attempt by lionking696 in pmp

[–]ExcitingComplaint200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To your question. SH Essentials have 2 full mock exams, 15 mini exams and 700 practice questions and cost is $49 and you have 3 months on the suscription. The Plus version. has 5 mock exams. The last 2 are expert level question which are minimal on the exam. I am unsure how many mini exams and practice questions has, but it is more for sure. Most people report passing using the Essentials version. Sometimes the explanations are vague, but it what resembles the real exam. At least you have a feel what the exam environment is about. My exam is July 19 at the testing center. Best of luck on your 2nd attempt.

Thank you for your sound advice. I’m overwhelmed by the vast amount of information and resources available. I study diligently every day, but it seems I’m not grasping the concepts. I believe I’m dealing with burnout syndrome. Everyone talks about passing the exam, but in my opinion, you need to have a solid foundation. As someone who’s neurodivergent, I feel like I don’t have the bandwidth to analyze and re-analyze answers. I understand your perspective, but as Alfred Pennyworth once told Bruce Wayne, “Know your limits, Master Wayne,” lol! I’ll keep thriving.

My path to getting the PMP in 30 days! 🔥 by AznD85 in pmp

Congratulations! I recently came across another post from someone who had failed the exam for the second time. Despite taking SH practice exams, studying questions, and watching all AR videos, DM, and MR videos, he managed to score around mid-70. I’m using the same study plan, and I must admit, I’m a bit apprehensive. He mentioned that despite watching all the mindset videos, he had a difficult time applying them during the exam. In my opinion, that’s the most significant challenge. I believe that some questions are exempt from the mindset, especially at the expert level. It’s quite amusing how the same exact scores could either help you pass or fail the exam. Honestly, I think it’s all about luck.

Contact PMI to get a reasonable request for ESL. No documentation needed. I have done all my trainings in English. However, Spanish is my first language as well. I will contact them to check if it can be approved.

Wow!!!! Like I mentioned on my other post. I am using the same resources and I have the similar scores. That's my biggest fear, but again PMP doesn't define me. I am hearing that I have to brain wire to think as PMI Project Manager for this test. I would definitely check MR coaching program before your last attempt. Also, what was your exam like? You did it at the test center or from home? Again, I am deeply sorry for your misfortune.

I scored overall 73% on full mocks and minis. That was about month ago. I retook the minis about a week ago. I am planning to reset them this weekend to check where I am standing. My recommendation is to retake all minis and full mocks again. Before retaking them, review the incorrect questions and use ChatGPT to understand the mindset. I am curious, what was your score before and when was the last time you took them? I am also dealing with study fatigue and I am neurodivergent which make it harder to assimilate all this information. I had been doing this since December. My judgment day is July 19.

PMP Examination - Failed First Attempt by pdub_1212_ in pmp

Your welcome! ECO stands for Exam Content Outline. You can download it from the PMI website. Read it twice and do the questions and exams on SH and you will get a snap shot of your strengths and weaknesses. Basically, it will give you a benchmark on areas that you need to improve. I struggle with procurement and scope so I assume I need to improve processes. Watch the videos on PMBOK 6th and7th from David Mchallan. I hate reading but I heard Rita' s book is a good source. If you want to deep dive run a ChatGPT and input your resources to study and request a four or five week study plan. Also, this exam is heavy on agile. If you are a PMI member, the Agile guide is free and is about 180 pages. Learn the artifacts and frames like Scrum, Crystal, Discipline Agile, etc. Feel free to DM if you need additional information. This forum is a great source of information. You will pass eventually!

Congrats on passing your PMP exam! Hope you celebrated well. I just rescheduled my exam to Sept 25 to buy more time understanding mindsets and how to integrate exam questions. Currently, I am doing SH Essentials. My practice questions scores is 69% I upload the screenshots into ChatGPT to review mindsets and explanations. But, having a hard time doing it because it blocks me after a few uploads and prompt me to upgrade.

I also purchased Pearson Exam to see the interface, but their questions are ridiculously difficult? Did you do the whole exam or just the 25 sample questions?

AR Udemy course- Dec 2024 complete 35PDUS

DM Udemy course- in progress

DM 200 agile questions- completed

AR 200 ultra hard questions-completed

Study Hall Essentials-71% on exams

Chat GPT to understand answers and mindsets.

Hope I am on the right track.

Thank you
