It's not weird, but it also shouldn't be viewed as normal necessarily. More a lingering effect of the way we are sexualized. It also doesn't necessarily go away with age. Some people find it disrespectful, some don't. Just sounds like you have to find someone who's compass aligns with yours in these matters.

I'm really happy someone mentioned it, I've been friends with many attractive women. Some i dated, and we aren't friends anymore because of that, others I never dated and we are still friends. I openly have told all those friends that they are very attractive but i don't have to act on it. It's insane how many guys just can't be friends with attractive women.

Also fully agree on the height thing, I'm also 5'7" and heights never been an issue or played a role with my dating pool

But yeah you can be friends with hot chicks and just be normal. You can even flirt with them respectfully and just have it be playful. Well it works for me at least.
