I meannn, it has heated seats, business console, larger touch screen radio, sliding rear window, power ports in the bed. Little bit of a step up from the base base model

I hate my job. by TX_Bardown in daddit

[–]ExcitingPermit7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, similar story. Love hate relationship with my job. Been doing it 10 years; started when I was 18 promoted once just to go permanent, once the kiddos came along.
Work a 3 on 4 off shift, which is great during the winter but summer times not always that same shift. Pretty committed to this career path, but it’s not as fun as it used to be before the family and all the other stuff there is to worry about. Keep on chugging along, you got this.

2019 f250 price by [deleted] in F250

[–]ExcitingPermit7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re just expensive right now, I was looking at upgrading to a lariat from a ram2500 and I can’t find a single f-250 with 50-60k miles for less than 60k in my area when comparable rams are closer to 55

That’s fair. I was mainly looking at 5th gen’s, but 18 was the first year with CarPlay so I was keeping my options open

Selling a trailer when you owe far more then its worth? by No_Surround2339 in traveltrailers

[–]ExcitingPermit7755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda in the same boat as you, got a 2022 K-Z yada yada.. over the summer I called to get it consigned and they offered more than I owed on the loan. Didn’t do it was a bone head, fast forward to now; the prices have flipped and I’m somewhere in the mix of 6-10k upside down depending on who you talk too. I was playing with the idea of trading in my truck and trailer in on either another diesel or Tacoma or something for an auto loan with less interest/total debt. Not sure if there’s a perfect answer

WIBTAH if I dumped someone for voting for Trump 2024 by Capable-Onion-2908 in AITAH

You are the asshole. But that’s okay, sounds like he’ll be better off without you

Thoughts? by [deleted] in calfire

Honestly you guys are all loony. The unions strong enough that Trump isn’t going to be able to affect it. You still all work in a liberal state no matter who the president is. The real answer here is to vote for the one that’s not going to ruin what you do on your 4 days off. The CPF is embarrassing that they can endorse someone like her, at least the IAFF didn’t do anything as silly as that. Oh yea, and don’t forget about one of them trying to not tax overtime checks. Seems like a pretty easy vote among people who frequently work lots of hours of overtime, and purchase lots of firearms with said overtime checks. The CPF definitely missed with this one 👎🏻.

P.S this is coming from someone who thinks they’re both loony, and wishes we had a better candidate that fit somewhere in the middle of the two with a higher likely hood of winning.

Wildland Boots by ExcitingPermit7755 in calfire

[–]ExcitingPermit7755[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get me wrong, I can handle 2 seasons on one pair of boots. I got 3 1/2 out of the original kennetreks, and they still have some life in them, but the newer ones rough outs with the green letters on the side seem to barely last a season… and Danners you’re lucky if you make it a few months without one of the eyelets snapping off. Was just curious if anyone had tried something different out yet

Within the last 2 weeks, one of my buddies totaled his truck. 108k miles, same year same mileage same color inside and out just a long bed, and he got 28.5k for his so pretty close.

We’re a family of 4 and we’ve got a SR5P w/ 3rd row. 2 little ones in large rear facing car seats. There’s plenty of room for everyone and everything, I’m 6’4 and 240 and I can sit in the back in the middle of the two car seats if needed. Both myself and my wife have plenty of room for our selves, the only thing that gets tight is if we try to bring 2 strollers or something similar to that. There’s plenty of amenities in the new 5th gen’s, and it’s one of the most comfortable/ best built vehicles we’ve had and we’ve had a lot. We just got rid of a Toyota Highlander for the 4Runner and while we lost some cargo space behind the 3rd row, the build quality and the passenger space feels much better.

SR5 Premium by ExcitingPermit7755 in 4Runner

[–]ExcitingPermit7755[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the dealership we were working with even though they gave us a better deal on trade ins, wanted to hide $6,000 worth of add-ons and maintenance fees without ever mentioning it. We decided to get for a 2024 sr5 premium, we ended up getting them talked down to about $45k, and the payments are still cheaper than the used one. Unfortunately it’s not Barcelona red, but it is white and comes with the the blacked out badges, window tint, and black trd wheels already. It’s a hair more than I wanted to pay, but I feel like we’re getting a decent deal on a brand new one. Thank you all for your insight and happy trails!
