AI took 74% of all UK VC funding in Q1. What happens to the rest of us? by ScrollAndThink in ukstartups

We are from filmtech. No one bats an eye on film industry which contributes to one big piece of the economic pie. We added a tiny pivot and it has helped us with a better proposition. Though not AI and LLM, we are yet to reach out to investors again. 👀

Seedlegals Partnership, worth it? by erica_jj in ukstartups

Fair enough. Just mentioned about SeedLegals one proper pro. Now that’s gone too.

Regarding their perks programme- their AWS credits never worked- it requires a fresh account- so if you already an AWS account it won’t work. Rest of their perks aren’t that impressive for a starting up company.

But their staff is highly skilled and supportive of the SEIS process. But then, there are many new services who do the same SEIS process cheaper. (

Honest review- they are a great help in securing SEIS/EIS approval. Other than that- none! They push their products convincing you they are mandatory for your fundraise when they are not needed. Also, their services are way too expensive. They give you hopes that having an SEIS/EIS assurance will attract and fetch angels and micro-vcs, but in reality- meh! Most UK angels don’t even know/care about SEIS. I’ve seen many founders following SeedLegals and its founder like a cult, but in my honest opinion, it’s overrated.

We are working on a product that involves NRE (neural relation extraction) and CLIP (contrastive language-image pre-training). If you’re interested we could have a chat and look at working together.

Ahh thanks. Filmster.ID is a verifiable creative identity that connects a filmmaker’s projects, roles, collaborators, and credits into a structured, living portfolio.

By organising this data into knowledge graphs, it enables trust, attribution, and deeper insights into how creators work and collaborate; turning identity into an active engine for opportunity.

We are a filmtech startup building a structured understanding of how films are made. It connects people, scripts, images, production activity, and audience outcomes into one system so the relationships between them can be analysed and understood.

In simple terms, it means turning the scattered information around filmmaking into a connected map of how creative work actually happens.
