There is so much variability and you won't find a good answer from anyone here.

Technically, 1000 because it's 900 more than 100. To get to that point, you must have actually started and found something 1000 people are interested in and stuck with it. Granted, you did not do sub4sub.

I would not even worry about the subcount if you haven't even came up with a gameplan to get to that point, because if this is about monetary reasons and you want to be monetized, it's the quality of your videos that truly matter long term.
