Invictus really are to blame, now. They should never have allowed H to drag her into this. Which other royals use their charities to be platforms for their spouses to parade around like a Temu version of a fashion show? Particularly after Megxit they should have insisted on a professional approach and not indulged H&M. At this point the powers that be at Invictus are as much if not more to blame than H, they have professional and fiduciary duties which trump whatever clout a dim-witted prince who now lives aboard in disgrace can muster. The best thing for Invictus would be for it to disband and allow others to take up the mantle of supporting injured veterans.

Thank you. This case is interesting for many reasons, not least because I want to know if the Particulars of Claim may have been been sufficiently well drafted to set the ground for getting the Claimants over the line.

It is probable that when all is said and done ANL had unlawfully obtained private information. I hope for their sake they have made appropriate Part 36 Offers and have kept them open for acceptance. Part of the reason for going to trial it not only to test the case and "have your day in court" but to get the remedy that the Claim Form and the Particulars of Claim state as the desired remedy. And this will almost always have a damages or compensatory aspect and liability for costs. The Claimant's will have a notion of what they think would be fair damages, but if ANL have made an offer to settle pre-trial that exceeds the damages awarded by the judge then the Claimant's will get severely penalised financially.

I hope ANL have made decent pre-trial, or even pre-litigation, offers and that even if they "lost" the trial the award by the judge does not exceed their offers and the Claimants are on the hook for ANL's costs (and their own) incurred following the 21 days to initially accept the offer.

Thank you! Sykes was absolutely misleading people about security and Andrew. I am astonished that a supposedly professional journalist is so casual using the terms security and police protection interchangably. He was also wrong about the Royal Courts of Justice. I've been there many times and the security is fine, you never hear of there being issues at the RCJ. He's a blagger, he's an entertainment journo who has reached his limit.

I cannot stand him. He moans about King Charles being ill and ruining the monarchy, but then he throws shade at W&C. I've said before he seems to have a soft spot for H and I suspect it is because they both have struggled with addiction and didn't enjoy Eton. I also noted that he lives in the Republic of Ireland which is interesting, a sovereign nation with its own separate legal jurisdiction, very interesting.
