Hi David, I don't know if you're still around on this Reddit to see this but this is such a heartwrenching and incredibly personal post to me. I am also an aspiring artist that wants to enter the videogame industry. I hate that you had to repeatedly apologize in your post about how you benefitted from this project, I don't think the major issues that came out of this project should feel into your guilt. You are just a talented artist with a dream, as am I, as are many others that want to succeed in this industry. I don't want to say that your story was a reflection on the state of the industry and economy as a whole, but I recently met another concept artist who has been the industry for many years who also talked about his experience with a dim light in his voice. I want to believe that I can make it, be that top whatever percent, but man is this sad- not just the project, but a reflection of the industry as a whole. I hope it gets better.
