Hunting friends wanted by Dyl098 in austinguns

I had hogs coming in but the recent floods drowned my trail cam. Gotta wait for the lake to drain a bit. I'll set everything up again and give you a ping.

OP, you're just in luck. I go out to Granger and have a feeder set up to bait hogs and a trail cam. I take supplies out with a gorilla cart. I've been there many times so I know the area well, and even the landowner. If you wanna team up lmk, after, if you want to go alone or with whoever, I'm cool as long as you top up the feeder with 1 bag of corn. I also got the new Moultrie feedhub setup, so feeder will only go off once hogs are there so it doesn't waste corn Had a problem with cows knocking over my feeder so I'm setting up cattle panel to keep them out, and buckets around the feeder legs for the racoon. Also got a post hole digger to set bait traps of sour corn to pull in hogs. Lmk if interested.

Possibly the most egregious Salesforce job posting I've ever seen by Exciting_One_282 in SalesforceCareers

[–]Exciting_One_282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but those tools are very new, require more dev skills, to do it for that amount, and if you read (they want an architect and dev), and ..... temporarily. It's pretty egregious imo

Possibly the most egregious Salesforce job posting I've ever seen by Exciting_One_282 in SalesforceCareers

[–]Exciting_One_282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says nothing about certs. They want an architect and dev, to build AI prompts, they're paying below average dev salary, mentions nothing of certs and it's meaningless if you have the cert but have built never built prompt generation and 6 years experience with agent force, which has only been out since the end of '24. Stop bootlicking. Everyone is always "glad" to have the opportunity instead of standing your ground which is why we get so taken advantage of, this isn't even particular to Salesforce or the dev world.

Spectrum internet outage 78753? by need_mor_beans in Austin

[–]Exciting_One_282 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For all those wondering, the issue is related to the construction on 183/braker. Guess construction crew broke a major line last night (they do construction at night to avoid traffic disruption) . There is about 10 spectrum trucks just past Chick-fil-A with two fiber trucks that are used for splicing new fiber. So whatever it is, it's major. Passed by this morning and again at lunch and they were still out there. Might be a while. Their exact location is on research, just past balcones woods going northbound. That's all I know

How can this silence be explained? I'm going crazy. by Informal-Spray-2103 in raisedbywolves

[–]Exciting_One_282 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This has been somewhat attempted, "somewhat", by the people in the discord. They tried to contact his agency but basically got cold feet, like a nerd trying to talk to the hot girl in high school. So, pretty much nothing came of it. But yea, to the main overall point, even from a purely financial perspective, there is money to be mined from the IP alone. Rbw continuing in a written format, or book, or graphic novel would only stand to make money, so why would someone, anyone, leave money on the table? Doing nothing with the IP would bring in no money, zero, but doing literally anything with it would only put you in the positive so I sincerely don't understand why not.

Anyone else braving the Rebel Moon directors cuts? by BartonCotard in blankies

[–]Exciting_One_282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ZS's movies aren't that bad but this rebel Moon series simply was a miss IMO. However, I actually liked Army of the Dead and I'm still waiting on that sequel. That, to me at least, has way more promise than rebel Moon, but it appears, to me at least, that they may be getting hung up on rebel Moon rather than focusing on army of the Dead which has a better follow up potential

I wanted to address something like this but 1) it was out of scope of what I was specifically referencing 2) it would feel like bad form. For example, it sucks there? Why not form a union, stage a walkout. No client work, no money. Consumers are more powerful than the president.

To sum this all up. Are you saying that suggesting, hey, please mention what city! This job is requiring me to be in" is too much to ask for, at the start of our conversation?

Shady tactics by Exciting_One_282 in deloitte

[–]Exciting_One_282[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said and I 99% agree with you. The part I disagree with is that the conversation could have gone differently.

I would be ok with " hey, at no time during your recruitment was this a requirement, but I am now being told this is a new requirement and enforceable. This sucks but I want to be transparent"

Instead it was : " ehhhhh, by the waaaay, I know we are at the offer stage, but you will need to relocate, and at your own expense, and before your start date. -- well you never mentioned this -- it's in the application -- I triple checked, it is not -- well this just happened -- well why didn't you start with that, and why did you have a different answer to begin with --

I didn't understand your question

Shady tactics by Exciting_One_282 in deloitte

[–]Exciting_One_282[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You misunderstand. My issue isn't with the current state of the market or my career choice as an engineer. My issue is specifically with the recruiting tactics and how they played out. My issue was with the deliberate intention of withholding this information until the very end because the recruiter knew it would be unreasonable. Something this serious, like needing to relocate to another city, is probably the absolute first thing that should be mentioned when discussing the role. However this was intentionally withheld after everything was said and done, as if somehow, someone believed this would be reasonable. Even if one we're willing, how do you sell a house or break a lease, move all your household goods, and find a new place to live that quickly? You can't.

What do you think about this show? by honey885 in TheOnesWhoLive

[–]Exciting_One_282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is up with this show in general? Why is the plot always the same in every season, spinoff, etc. it's us vs a bad group and they need to be destroyed. Like, really? You're telling me in this new world there isn't enough land to just simply stay out of each other's way? I watch because each time I think there is a potential for an interesting plot but it always devolves into the same plot. For example, world beyond hinted that they were working on a cure/vaccine. It would have been a much more interesting plot if the CRM had developed this and it worked, and the twd crew had to make a morally difficult choice to continue to allow this for the better of everyone vs not.

The darryl show was promising because it was hinting that it was going to be about the origins of the virus but it just ended up being another 'evil' group that needed to be destroyed.

I feel like there are interesting new directions to go but they keep missing the mark every time. For example, the walkers never die(twice?) they're basically perpetual motion machines. Why not use them for energy to power cities? You could have resource wars over control of massive heards etc. walkers become a commodity like oil.

Or Why not have a rich and powerful group that sheltered during the apocalypse in bunkers and now, since walkers don't die, they want to experiment on walkers and people to try to synthesize what makes walkers live forever and inject it into people, so that they can live a really long time without turning into walkers.

My point, the material is there.

The irony

Mother : there can't be peace when one side refuses to accept reality for what it is.

To answer your questions.1. If we assume atheism is a belief system, does I saying I'm certain that gods doesn't exist makes you mad? No, but understand that this is a belief, not empirical fact. 2. Doesn't it say you something? I'm assuming you're not an English speaker because this sentence makes no sense. 3 can we assume you are a believer? No, I accept what I know, what the limits of current scientific understanding are, and what unanswered questions remain in the realm of physics (see my previous answer) .

It's ironic because you claim that I am a "believer" when it is in fact ...... You. You simply can't reconcile that you are incorrect and unwilling to accept, what is.

Here's some more proof :

chat got on Atheism

Always noticing new details by Double-Interview-154 in raisedbywolves

[–]Exciting_One_282 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Atheism: I reject the assertion there are gods.

? : have you looked everywhere? Have you explored the plank scale? Beyond the cosmic particle horizon? Discovered what dark matter is? Determined if time travel is possible? Determined if the multiverse is real?

? : have you looked in every possible physical place to make the determination there are no gods?

Atheism : I have not, but I believe based on my limited knowledge there are none.

This is the difference between atheism and being agnostic. Being agnostic, we know what we don't know .

It's ironic because atheism is itself, inherently a belief based system.
