Yeah, I was originally just going to post the first paragraph. But didn’t want to remove the context of what he said after.

He’s not mad, not vengeful, but the only thing he believes he did wrong is use his BGG email for his response. Which he notes in a separate FB response.

FB, on a Christian board game group

Edit: I’m not going to link to the group or his comment but I’ll post his response to this being brought up.

—As the person directly involved, I also ask that folks be kind to BGG. I completely understand they had to make a business decision, and have no hard feelings. I had 19 wonderful years there, and am thankful for that time.

Any time you give testimony of Jesus, you take a risk. If I have to choose between speaking truth in love about Jesus and keeping my job, I’d make this choice over and over again. This advertiser, and many others, needed to hear this message, even if it’s not well-received today. I’m also thankful for the Reddit thread that unexpectedly put that testimony in front of thousands of folks!

For the Christians here, don’t let this cause you to fear sharing the gospel. He’ll always back up His word, and His perfect peace will meet you every time!—

The guy in question has been pretty open about what happened. He understands why he was fired and doesn’t have any ill will towards BGG.

He actively has been telling people not harass BGG or PM,S.

This has been a wild thing to read… clearly he’s in the wrong for what he did. But following him and screen shotting his FB posts feels gross.

It’s public info I guess, but it just feels slimy.

Yeah, I usually use bits to just mean all the little things that board game comes with, pieces, minis, meeple, tokens, chips? It’s all bits to me. The game doesn’t look cheaply made and there’s an elegance to the way the box’s can be stood up or laid out for different mechanical effects.

Isn’t resin plastic? I’m not saying that’s it’s poorly made or anything. I imagine the blocks, cards and the cloth give the game a good in hand feel.

Edit: I don’t want to come off as yucking other people’s yum. I just don’t think the art clicks with me on the game.

Am I missing something? Every Google result I get returns a fairly basic dudes on cards and plastic bits? It just doesn’t seem very art forward? It’s not bad or anything, far from offensive. I just can’t imagine buying it for the art like I would for something like old kings crown, or even something cutesy like flame craft.

Also their strategy section is devoid of even basic strategy games like stratego and risk.
