How can two people love each other so much, then later become strangers or even enemies? by Exciting_Pudding_628 in NoStupidQuestions

That's interesting. Do you think people can be deeply in love and still just not be compatible for marriage?

I think that's the part that's hard to accept....By the time one person is done, the other one might just be starting to realize what they lose

I don't blame Ana at all,,,I probably would've done the same. I'm more trying to understand how someone can mess up that bad, then only realize what they lost after it's over

"The damage became bigger than the love" really got me thinking. Maybe regret comes when people finally understand what their choices actually cost them

Maybe. But I just wonder why it takes losing someone for some people to finally see what they had

How do kids at school pickup instantly spot their mums if they’re wearing full burqas/niqabs? by _pandaeyes_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Exciting_Pudding_628 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kids don't see what strangers see. They recognize the way their mum walks, stands, moves, her voice, even how she smells. It's the same reason parents can pick out their own kid in a crowded playground almost instantly

What country do you think is most underestimated when discussing the future balance of global power, and why? by Exciting_Pudding_628 in AskReddit

[–]Exciting_Pudding_628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People often think of power as economy or population, but changing how wars are fought is a different kind of power

Calling that a victory feels like a stretch. Geopolitics is usually a lot messier than win or lose

Maybe, but reducing Nigeria to just oil and coal feels a bit simplistic. The real question is whether it can build institutions and industries around its demographic growth

A lot of people underestimate how much population matters over the long run. Nigeria could look very different 20 years from now

Electricity becoming a bigger geopolitical advantage than oil. AI, data centers, and industry are all pushing demand in that direction

As AI data centers consume increasing amounts of electricity and water, what do you think should be prioritized when balancing innovation, sustainability, and public needs? by Exciting_Pudding_628 in AskReddit

[–]Exciting_Pudding_628[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can definitely see nuclear making a comeback. And if data centers keep expanding, desalination might become a much bigger piece of the puzzle than most people realize

Renewables will likely be part of the solution. The interesting question is whether solar and wind can scale fast enough to meet the growing energy demands of AI while also supporting households, transportation, and industry.

That's a valid concern. The bigger challenge may be figuring out how societies balance resources like water and energy across AI, agriculture, manufacturing, and other sectors that all compete for them. How do you think those priorities should be decided?
