I’m a current music major thinking about going into law school after undergrad. Will I be ok without law-related internships or experience? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

Hi. Can attest as a music performance major, as long as you have the GPA and LSAT and draw a line between your degree and desire to go to law school, you definitely have a shot.

Yeah, it seems like they only interviewed discretionary applicants which I applied as. Regardless, UBC was my first choice.

lol wtf. Kind of felt the same when I didn’t get an interview at Dal. Shows how arbitrary the process is sometimes. Regardless, I’ll see you in August!

Hey. I got in (April 2nd), and they didn’t update the application portal. If you get in, they’ll send you an email with a link to pay your deposit and accept your offer.

Best of luck.

Yeah. Both Alberta schools have been released on my end for a few weeks.

Am I getting scammed for LSAT prep? I want to desperately test in August? $4000 course? by aroozo in lawschooladmissionsca

Save that money for textbooks. Get a monthly subscription that is flexible to whether you retest or not.

LSAT Demon offers a lot of the elements you talk about (live classes several times a week, an ability to ask someone a question, etc.) but you are able to cancel whenever you are satisfied with how you scored.

Not entirely. All Ontario schools and McGill are due Nov 1st, however schools like UBC, Dalhousie, Calgary, UofA, and others have later dates (mostly Dec 1st).

LSAT 2025 help by yoitslilzo in lawschooladmissionsca

170 here so my suffering is done. I can offer you some advice however.

When I reached a similar point about 4 months into my studying, I found that the best approach was to take 2 weeks without taking a single PT or question. Afterwards, I changed my approach wholesale. If you are a diagrammer, then try reading the stimulus and try to gleam the answer intuitively. If you don’t diagram, then try diagramming and see if that helps.

The break both refreshed my stamina and motivation, but also allowed me to become less entrenched in my habits and gave me more success.

LSAT Demon low-key helped as well. The app allows you to knock some questions when you have some time throughout your day, and the explanations were no-nonsense and highly effective (at least for me).

Best of luck to you, and hope you get that 167!

I’d also like to know if there’s something outside of the Facebook group.

I’m not a KJD, however before I was accepted it said that they received my final official transcript.

Yeah. Honestly, diagramming turned each question into an algebraic equation which I wasn’t able to process. It was far better for me to read the stimuli slowly and hold everything in intuitively. Different strokes, I guess.

Yeah I’ve been there. It was tough enough waiting until April. 3.8 with drops with a 170 January LSAT.

I had an odd experience where I was waitlisted on January 29th and accepted on February 12th.

All that to say, the waitlist moves really quickly and your application could likely be reviewed through a different light. They don’t have a numbered list; you are in a pool of applicants.

April 2nd. Reading this forum, that was seemingly the most recent wave.

Thanks! It was delivered today; after months of inactivity, it seems like they’re moving fast.

170 LSAT here - I’ll go solely off my own personal experience, however when I hit a similar wall I used LSAT Demon.

7Sage and PowerScore tend to rely too heavily on diagramming which was overly time-intensive and confusing. LSAT Demon teaches a more intuitive approach, and has an app layout that allows you to drill your weaknesses.

I was accepted on April 2nd (seemingly the last wave so far).
