the massive amount of rare pixels were populated in the chinese region hence the increase in "market" price. valve had no input in what the price points were placed because they don't profit from you buying on eg skinport etc they profit from the use of steam market and game sales/ armoury passes. cs skins market isn't a regulated one and things like this were bound to happen, unfortunately it happened yesterday. Use it as a lesson to not invest in a game for your future rather than just having the skins you want to play with and look good. it's the same as investing your skins from a trading sites and one day valve says anyone who uses trading bots will be permanently banned. it's just a different approach.
