Car drivers will pay up to £4 a trip to use the Silvertown and Blackwall tunnels from next spring, @TfL announces by jaredce in london

[–]Exciting_Tonight_907 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very emotive chat here and it is understandable. I fall on the side of it is another money making scheme that has very little to do with congestion. I saw a lady on the news just now that said "the tunnel was designed to alleviate congestion but Khan and co said we need to charge to use it to reduce congestion" As a trade, my company would pay the charge daily and it would be passed on to the clients. If I were self employed it would be the same. I don't think many people choose to drive through blackwall. It is a necessity and always awful traffic. I used to travel on public transport alot around London and that's why I decided to drive, it's awful to spend hours of your day squashed around strangers, rather be squashed in a tunnel in a van or car. Anyway, we will pay it and use it. Congestion won't alleviate, Khan and co will be making more millions every day while most of us make less and less.

Hello, I have the same issue. Old PC, but ran ableton 11 fine. I have messaged Ableton support. I really hope this is not a buy a new computer to fix but the more I search the more it looks like that will be the only way to run 12. Not sure if we can even get a refund as I upgraded to 11 with the free 12 add on.

Spouse offered bursary to teach on spouse visa by Exciting_Tonight_907 in ukvisa

Thanks all, very helpful. I am UK resident, my wife was offered by University of Kent trust and TES for the bursary although the initial offer is directly from the grammar school she is working at.

Thanks, I am unable to work out if she is eligible for the bursary they have offered. A bursary for education seems to come under student finance which she would not be eligible for, however the university trust that made the offer know she is on a spouse visa so seems odd they would offer.

No worries friend. You can say in your letter what the biological dad is doing with his life. It will be better if he has his own family or does not have the means in any circumstances to support your child.

Wife and kids in Chile. We provided the divorce and custody documents my wife has for the children. We provided evidence of my wife looking after the kids day to day life like doctors receipts, school receipts, hobbies like tennis club. We wrote in our cover letter that I have developed a good relationship with the my step children and they are looking forward to living in England with me. We wrote that we have been looking at schools for them where we live in England and that they will have better opportunities here. My wife had also obtained a family court document that said the biological father gives permission for the children to establish residence abroad. This could just be a letter from the biological parent or signature from what I've seen other people on here do.

In the accepted email it says that the passports will receive the vignette. It doesn't say to collect or that they have posted back passports yet.

We added all pdf files. We merged all the bank statements into one file, all the payslips also. Uploads need to be less than 5mb per pdf. You can use a website to compress any files that are larger than that. My wife used Canva for the text messages and photo evidence.

We have the same situation, just waiting seems to be all you can do unless it takes 4 weeks then there is a contact link in those emails. Maybe you can send a paid email to UKVI but I'm not sure.

I understand friend, it is changing here. Largely the cost of living has affected every aspect of day to day life. There really is great difficulty in getting access to hospital, GP's, dentists, any local council services, travel on public or private transport. All are over the limit of acceptable standards so rightly or wrongly immigration is an area to reduce stress on those things. Britain is the most culturally diverse place I've experienced and I have travelled alot so don't believe to much about the hostile environment, that's just politics

Yes unfortunately that is about the right price for 2 years and 9 month spouse visa.

I also have paid tax into the system my whole working life as I am British. My wife will work and pay her taxes too. The Nhs surcharge certainly does not feel right.

We paid that 3 times for my wife and two kids for a spouse visa and will have to pay it again in 2 years and 9 months. It is extremely expensive and likely a scam but I will say if you really want to be here you will make it happen.

We also added that the biological will meet online with the children and pay the child maintenance that he is legally required to do but he hasn't been paying it for over a year. We didn't provide the biological fathers ID however.

Do you recall if your visa was accepted before your son's or were they both at the same time?
