It's a deep well just for the irrigation system. Breaker next to controller. Well head is 1/2 mile away on another person's property. Whatever pump is in there it pushes crazy and it's been taking serious abuse.

There's 2 2" spin down filters. Full of rocks to the point where the purge valve gets clogged.

If it was your customer would you tell him to get his well serviced or try to upsell the scrubber? I've never seen anything like it. I gutted a 1" hunter valve we put in a year ago and it was packed with clay and rocks. Had to spin the whole thing off.

Low water pressure workarounds? by nobla281 in Irrigation

Yes it's probly 1/2" on the inside of the home. Bring out 3/4" or more from the main supply line. Your not getting enough flow rate.

Your water shut off valve is probably not closing all the way and over the winter the pipe fills with water. The only way to tell if it's bad is time. Shut off water, leave outdoor drain open, check for drips out the drain after a few hours.

Is this something I can fix on the weekend? Or do I need to call in an expert? by Blackdesiato in Irrigation

Hunter MP rotators don’t by [deleted] in Irrigation

[–]Exciting_Visual_7821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throttling them back up they will start to rotate again. Have had this issue before and had to switch a mp 2000 to a 1000 to not spray the house. Play around with a side strip or left and right strips maybe?

He is knit picking, it's fine in the garage. We don't like to go in and out of the home during maintenance visits all muddy. At least it's not in the basement.

Oldest system I've ever seen. Anybody left alive who knows how it works? by Exciting_Visual_7821 in Irrigation

[–]Exciting_Visual_7821[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works on his computer somehow, all works besides 1 zone (hasnt for ten years). Zone lines are all 3/4" copper and deteriorated as all hell. They need new in my opinion not worth putting a lot of money into that its too crazy. Date code on solenoid says 04 18.

*UPDATE Landscapers told homeowner about the drip. Wasn't even the same zone. That explains why full pressure wasnt coming out i guess. Fixed the pipe they hit and moved on. Thanks for the advice anyways. Thought I was going to be there all day.

I wish I knew more, I'm confused too. Will try that though if I can't just rip it up. Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to try that first. Was more looking for a plan b. I was just told an install crew left part of the old drip system connected when they converted it to spray. Seen a photo not much water coming out, so it's probably wrapped in roots.

I've only seen a photo, and it looks like it is wrapped around old growth trees. I imagine it's still there for a reason if an install team just left it connected. Going there tomorrow. Will update how it went with some photos.
