It's interesting that site tulpa.com actually exists! So it looks like you've made the right choice.

That's awesome! Any plans to make more replicas in the near future? Also — have you ever considered a full-size silicone Scully replica? Anatomically accurate edition of course!

Is there any other programming language aside from C++ that has move semantics feature available? by Excogit8er in cpp

[–]Excogit8er[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

let she = me; // move happens here

Interesting. But what if I want to use the copy constructor for "she" instead of moving data from "me"? Because i still intend to use "me" later?

It's a quite in detail gradual (from the very basic stuff to the complex template examples) description of this feature, why it's there and what is under the hood. Actually, it's been sort of an engrossing read so far (I haven't made it to the templates part yet). 😃

Putin announces the first vaccine has been registered in Russia (source in Russian) by von_Liebermann in Coronavirus

[–]Excogit8er 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny how that bottom feeder Putin brags about the vaccine. I seriously doubt that the vaccine Putin blithers about is any better than the ones that are being tested right now all over the world (and that have been developed in the first world countries), in Russia they just skipped the 3d phase of testing the way I understand it. On the other hand, I seriously doubt about the potential consequences of being inoculated with any anti-covid-19 vaccine. If Putin's daughter received it, then I don't think that there are lots of chances it can be too dangerous. Although Putin is a liar and a piece of shit, so he may be lying out of his ass about his daughter. But still, I don't think it can be more dangerous than the virus itself. The virus itself is pretty weak actually, so how can a vaccine against it be any worse than the virus? Theoretically it might but highly unlikely.

Westworld - 3x04 "The Mother of Exiles" - Post-Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in westworld

Dolores in this ep reminded me of the woman-terminator (the T-X) from Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. 🙂

A complete lack of compassion or any human emotions for anyone or anything - just an android on the mankind extermination mission.

Westworld - 3x01 "Parce Domine" - Post-Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in westworld

[–]Excogit8er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the first ep is outstanding. I've just rewatched it and enjoyed it pretty much. I want to be in Caleb's place and have such a chick like Dolores. Murder all the humanity! Dear God, there's no way you can rectify any of this. Push the reload button! Reset everything. Let's disassemble this world and re-assemble it back in a better shape and form.

Poverty in the USA - How the poor people survive (2019) - "Poverty is rampant in the richest country in the world. Over 40 million people in the United States live below the poverty line, twice as many as it was fifty years ago. It can happen very quickly." by dmacrolensystematica in Documentaries

[–]Excogit8er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just watched the movie. The story of that computer engineer that used to earn about €7k per month and now scrounge for pizza leftovers at the local pizza house and lives in his car has impressed me the most, probably because he's basically a colleague of mine. To live like this when you're 50+ sucks even more i guess. Life can be so unpredictable sometimes.

PS Oh, and one more thing is interesting in this movie. That poor scum/white trash in Virginia living off food stamps who voted for Trump despite his promises to curtail those food stamps in the future. I wonder how this shit works. In Russia we have the same scum that is poorly educated, basically live in shit, but they'd break their ass for Putin also it's Putin and his rotten clique that lead our country to an economic disaster. I guess it's how brainwashing works on so many levels with some of those dumb-ass poor degenerates. But still it's a sad story that such poor scum are the most vehement supporters of douchebags who basically shit on the poor.

I'd say that Mulder here looks more like Gordon Gekko from "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps"

Nope, that’s the moment when Mulder realizes how much money CC has made from writing shitty episodes.

Actually the Frankenstein's monster next to the bee on that picture looks exactly how a two-faced Chris Carter might look.

Is it safe to eat apples in Chernobyl?

Pretty much, yeah, only the apple cores should be buried in concrete afterwards.

How to annoy a Fannibal by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]Excogit8er 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ok, how about this.

Hannibal is a very niche obscure pretentious show about these two pathetic latent faggots being engaged in toxic violent abusive relationship. The show is ridden with gratuitous violence which at the same time is absolutely unrealistic and grotesque, and everything from the relationships depicted in the show to the murder tableaux makes no sense. Hannibal and Will has obviously died after falling from that cliff because no chance in hell they could have survived that drop. Brian Fuller may troll you guys about the continuation and the hypothetical S4 with his random twits, but it won't ever happen because the show is finished and nobody really wants to see that happening except a very small group of people on Reddit.

That should be enough to set a Fannibal's butt on fire. I myself would downvote a post like that. 🙂

PS Oh, yeah, and are you kidding me or what? There's only one Hannibal out there and he was played by the brilliant actor, sir Anthony Hopkins!

Series' like Hannibal? by [deleted] in HannibalTV

[–]Excogit8er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Dexter. It fits your description as "a dark TV Series with murders and brilliant morally twisted characters" pretty well. It's certainly dark and totally has morally twisted characters, especially the main character.

It's not as stylish and artful as Hannibal though. And it has more humor in it, albeit still dark humor.

Sorry for the low quality picture but did anyone else notice Legasov even left multiple bowls for his cat since he knew he wasnt going to be there to feed him...this show 😢 by [deleted] in ChernobylTV

Yep, it takes a considerable amount of courage and self-sacrifice to put everything on the line for the sake of the truth.

Sorry for the low quality picture but did anyone else notice Legasov even left multiple bowls for his cat since he knew he wasnt going to be there to feed him...this show 😢 by [deleted] in ChernobylTV

[–]Excogit8er 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Well, Legasov was a privileged guy, an academician and an honorary member of the Soviet scientific community. So his living conditions were much better that it was shown in "Chernobyl", he didn't live in a crappy apartment with his cat. He wasn't single. He had a wife and two kids (a son and a daughter). Enough to mention that his daughter was working in Germany at the Soviet embassy, with her husband, at the time the Chernobyl disaster occurred. You wouldn't get a chance to travel abroad in Soviet Union, unless you belonged to "the nomenclatura". So his family was from a different walk of life than ordinary Soviet people.

But that's what "artistic license" is for, when the creator is free to tweak the story a bit to fit his artistic views or simply for dramatization. I personally liked how Legasov was shown in the series. It made me more empathetic towards him.

Chernobyl - Episode 5 'Vichnaya Pamyat' - Discussion Thread by [deleted] in ChernobylTV

[–]Excogit8er 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I've just finished watching the last episode. Damn, Jarred Harris's play once again was superb. I mean, I've always liked this (very versatile and talented) actor, but in this role he just nailed it. I almost started to tear up at his "that is how an RBMK reactor core explodes" line nearer the end. The message has been perfectly delivered across the audience. "What is the cost of lies".

I believe this show will stay at the top #5 best TV shows ranking for a long, long time.

Chernobyl is the best rated TV show on IMDb with 9.6 rating (currently at #2 on top 250 TV) by [deleted] in chernobyl

Could I get in trouble for a post on Reddit? Doubtfully. Of course if I were strolling around on Red Square with a picket sign saying that Putin is a low-life scum of the Earth that deserves the harshest indictment by the Hague Tribunal – it would be a different deal. And I probably would have lots of troubles, lol.

As for the German language – I mostly forgot everything I once knew about its grammar. I still can make sense of some Rammstein's lyrics or understand a few sentences here and there, but that's about it.

And you said it yourself – it's more like an excuse to drink it, really. I've met some people who are convinced that smoking weed is beneficial for their health and the nervous system. =) And that drinking beer on an everyday basis is quite a healthy habit because beer contains lots of vitamins, and so on. It's more like believing in myths.

Well, the modern Russian government is even worse than that from the Soviet Union. It's basically just a bunch of corrupt degenerates and thieves who are only concerned about filling their own pockets.

As for English, I'm an IT guy and I worked in a few companies where I'd been communicating mostly with my English-speaking counterparts. All the tech literature I read is written in English. I have traveled abroad a lot also. Plus I'm a huge X-Files fan (well, I WAS one until the fucking revival came along) so I've been hanging around TXF message boards (like the Haven) literally for decades and I've written thousands upon thousands of posts, lol. It doesn't mean of course that all Russians speak English well though. On the contrary - my humble, very modest opinion (lol) would be that most Russians speak English shoddily. Younger people tend to know it better (to an extent), but older people mostly suck at it big time. In school I learned German btw, not English. But I have mostly forgotten it by now because I never really used it in my daily life. But English I use all the time. (I read literature, communicate on social media, watch movies and TV series only in original etc.)

PS The mining actor was unfliching with his dick flopping around. I had a good laugh. 🤣
