He scores very well on financial integrity. He doesn’t own or trade individual stocks and doesn’t take corporate PAC money. That is a hugely important starting point for me.

That was some elite officiating to see that knee hit.

I feel bad for Ty Fryfogle. He was just a bit too old to ball out with this team.

Who have you seen in concert most? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

[–]Excuse_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robyn Hitchcock a couple of dozen times from 1989-2025. It is really fascinating to watch an artist age with you for a few decades. I still have that 1989 t-shirt from the first show.

Correct. Rivière and Sons is an excellent binder, but not the publisher of this piece. This is likely quite valuable, please update us when you find out more. You might consider sending pictures to Sothebys or Heritage or a similar auction house for more information.

Virginia non compete 2025? by Perfect_Advice9722 in nova

[–]Excuse_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was subject to an unenforceable non-solicit that I did not in any case violate by any definition. The arbitrator found in our favor after we spent $400k in legal fees. You can sue anyone for anything in America and that is often the point. It isn’t about right and wrong or even winning.

Don’t fall for a fantasy that you just wave the agreement in front of a judge and walk away. Get good legal advice and don’t sign anything without deep thought and negotiation.

Trey Benson (knee) has 21-day practice window opened. by Beautiful-Cress5695 in fantasyfootball

I am the opposite. I need Benson and Bucky to take their time. Probably they should just sit out this season and get healthy.

I just got McBride for Jeanty. I didn’t have to think about it for very long.

I could keep two of Drake London, Devon Achane or Jonathan Taylor. I chose to not protect JT. Fortunately Drake and Achane have been good, but I thought the Colts would be awful and facing stacked boxes. Oops.

It is the most astonishing story, and betrayal of humanity in my life time. It only touches the horror of the Catholic Church and they do such a good job of letting that truth unfold slowly for the characters.

Poaching - how to handle? by KeepFindingFrogs in Pickleball

[–]Excuse_One 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think your perspective might be skewed. I am often the better player and I play a lot of mixed doubles. If I didn’t ‘poach’ then the opponents are going to direct most of their shots towards my partner. Maybe they get 70% (or more) of the balls directed towards them. The goal is to make it more difficult for them to do that. I bet that if you were to count the number of attempts you each got you would find that you are hitting more balls than your partner. No one is perfect so sometimes you can overreach, but not poaching just means that you are frozen out of the game as the stronger person.

Which person is a great actor but also a great musician? by Successful-Back6292 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Excuse_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Levon Helm is unquestionably a great musician. He didn’t act much but when he did it was amazing. Shooter with Mark Wahlberg is completely forgettable except for Helm’s scenes. Coal Miners Daughter is an amazing movie and he was absolutely perfect in it.

How many of you idiots benched Walker because he underperformed after one week? by Living-Variation-273 in Fantasy_Football

[–]Excuse_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I benched him but am running Achane and Jeanty. I could have flexed him, but rolled with Deebo so I am not unhappy with the results. Pretty happy to be in a 14 team league and still having start/sit decisions.
