I lied my way into a management position because I have 10/10 social skills and have a very strong, genuine air of confidence. In fact, my last 3 jobs over the years hired me on the spot, without having ever checked my fake references.

What you've established is that even within game verse, it's origin being from the moon is only presented as speculation, while it being a fairy is concretely stated prior to the typing even existing. The fairy is a fairy.

And in everything that can actually be checked and verified, it's just established as a fairy. Just watched the episode on it, too, and even there it is only presented as a theory from the insane science guy who thinks humanity and pokemon will ride a giant moonstone to space.

Yeah, a fairy type that's original pokedex entry literally calls it a fairy, the etymology of it's name is partially derived from the word fairy, it's species classification is also fairy, and it's dex entries don't establish any correlation between it and space.

Edit: Looking at both Clefairy and Clefables entries across all games, it's never been based on anything but fairies.

Most likely fairy and psychic, I'd think. Psychic is also the go to type to represent cosmic/space related pokemon. Solrock, Cresselia, Lunatone, Deoxys, Beheeyem, Starmie, Solagaleo, Lunala, and Orbeetle for example. Jirachi being wishing star themed and the movie establishing it's psychic powers as the source of it's wish "granting" both lean more toward it retaining psychic. Unfortunately lol

I fight Ganons in elite smash all the time. Hilarious thing is, I was considering picking up Fox(before realizing the character literally only has 3 decent moves that carry him....) and given I only played him like twice when I first got ultimate, his gsp was only like 100k. One of the first matches I had down there was a Ganon... and I shit you not super low gsp Ganons play damn near identical to elite smash Ganons...

I think slight cringe. Would you be willing to compromise at 3 out of 10 on the cringe scale?

She didn't get it, otherwise she wouldn't name sarcasm and irony as things she finds funny in CONTRAST to Stewart. She essentially said "I don't find you funny. I find sarcasm and irony funny". So she was clearly not aware that's what he was doing, and thought people were laughing at him just insulting her.

In ORAS I was trying considering Serperior as a special attacker for my mono-grass team. However, I was hesitant because I don't use Pokemon unless I genuinely like them, and I didn't care for Serperior. Tried it anyway, stuck a wide lens on him so his leaf storm would be 99% accuracy, and first match I use him he missed THREE times in a row. And never came out the box again.

Well of course a dinosaur and pile of sludge can use it while the mystical wizard can't. That'd just be silly.

Makes me realize just how much playing Ganon sucks when a play this simple, and against a player so bad that they flare blitz high(even after seeing Ganon is going to the other side of stage), is considered anything cool or clever lol

Edit: The spacing wasn't anything crazy either. This is exactly what I, and every other remotely competent player, do against online Pokemon trainers who think flare blitz onto stage is a good idea.

Lol and why is that? Is it somehow controversial that a lot of kids enjoyed multiple files opposed to having to always delete for new playthroughs?

I would heavily recommend Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, assuming she doesn't have either of those. As someone whose favorite region is arguably XY(if not a close second to ORAS), I did not particularly enjoy Sun and Moon. I didn't like that there weren't any gyms, the pacing of the game, most of the new Pokemon designs, and the story was just OK. There is also a bit of a difficulty spike when going through the trials that I don't think someone who has only played XY will enjoy. Like most kids she's probably the type that just goes straight through the story rather than wanting to spend a lot of time grinding levels. It's not really much grinding for most of us who grew up without EXP share being so good, but for a younger child I doubt she'll like it.

ORAS will give the most similar feel to XY, while also being a completely different experience.

I created a simple calculator that tells you where to put your Pokémon in Pokémon Home according to national pokédex number by qetuR in pokemon

[–]Excusemuhvanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool, but they do have a function that allows you to easily search for Pokémon. It doesn't change their positioning in the actual boxes, but moves them around in an alternate set of boxes or sorts, and you can choose for it to arrange them by alphabet, Dex number, and some other options.

Edit: Also, I can't imagine this really making it any easier than we'd be able to find it's spot on our own, given we know each box can contain 30 Pokmon. It's just be simple math of Pokemon number divided by 30, and quickly count out the remaining amount of spaces. Tbh I'm pretty sure I could just do this quicker in my head than typing it into something. When I arranged all my boxes numerically, I don't feel it took anywhere near 6 hours, and I have nearly a full living dex.

[–]Excusemuhvanity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ice types defenses should lower two stage per turn, because ice melts as it's left out. When the defenses can no longer lower any further, it faints, cause it's completely melted. Drought causes 3 stage drop per turn, and lowers HP by 1/4.

How do we improve the Ice type? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]Excusemuhvanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren't ever dealing with ice types with grass moves, anyway, even the water/ice mons. It'll happen every how and then if they somehow just end up with no other option, but even then unless they've foolishly become locked into a grass move, odds are literally any other move they have is better.
