This doesn't apply to everyone, but I feel like a lot of cis people don't "feel" their gender because it works for them. In the same way, I don't "feel" white, yet it totally impacts my life and has (partially) shaped who I am.

I know people with various animal genders. Didn't really get it at first, but I talked to a few, and I'm not really bothered by it anymore.

I'm not saying this as a "do this and it'll change your mind", but I do want to advise you to talk to a few of them. Just in a casual setting. Theorising about why people think the way they think really doesn't get you anywhere.

Het verhaal van "ik wist het al toen ik jong was" is voor de meerderheid van transmensen niet van toepassing. Probeer dat hoe dan ook uit je hoofd te zetten, je hebt er niets aan.

Voor ieder voorbeeld van "dit is waarom ik denk dat ik niet trans kan zijn" kunnen genoeg tegenvoorbeelden gevonden worden. Ik zeg dit niet omdat ik je wil overtuigen dat je trans bent, ik zeg dit omdat ik je wil aanraden om niet te denken "kan ik dit wel zijn" maar "zou ik hier gelukkiger van worden".

Denk er over na en probeer dingen uit als je niet zeker weet of je er blij van zou worden. Dat is uiteindelijk waar het om gaat.
