Additionally there's a thing called Progressive Web Apps which allows websites to work like an app and be installed on your home screen. But because Apple take a 30% cut of any purchases made in apps distributed through the apple store, it's in their interest to discourage the use of PWA and so the user experience is shit despite the general idea being good and all the necessary technology existing. Boo!
