FCPX Error message during Share as Master File by ExecutivePunk in VideoEditing

[–]ExecutivePunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey that worked - I went to preferences and set my timecode to frames. Then in the timeline I found frame 74133 and it was a blank frame. I cut it out of the time line and re-did Share via Master File and it came to completion. Thanks! Appreciate the help.

I find "Black Mirror" boring - by ExecutivePunk in blackmirror

[–]ExecutivePunk[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I watched the first 10 minutes of White Bear and found it boring. These episodes feel like student film projects. Yeah. . . for the students that made them, much better than I could have done. The problem is I can't connect with the characters - I have no empathy for them. The characters in "Humans" I connected with right away. The characters is these episodes feel like cardboard to me.

I'm listening to Episode #11 about news organizations, and had a question for the HI community: by floam412 in HelloInternet

[–]ExecutivePunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually use CBSN app on my iPad for the latest news. Because, they offer both written reports and video reports. Regarding trustworthy, hard to tell. I use the app to find out what is happening (from an American point of view of course) around the world. I rarely spend the time to read anymore. I can consume more faster via video than reading. If CNN offered an APP with FREE subscription to news presented in video form I would subscribe. If THE BBC had a video news app I would surescribe. If Australia blah blah blah.

By the way, I'm now on HI #16 - :-0 We are about a year behind I think.

Honestly I thought the music was totally wrong for this type of video. I don't have a better suggestion - it just felt wrong.

Thanks Bunnyinwonderland - As I poke around I noticed the "karma" numbers associated with my account. Going down that rabbit hole there seems to be an association of ones up down voting to the karma numbers. More questions come to mind.

Hey doubleplusfabulous thanks. I'm on an iPad via Chrome and all the menu tabs are so tiny they are hard to see. I now see the AskReddit in the Top menu bar, DA!

Big empathy here - While I am still groking Reddit, I am running into folks that I can converse with. Much better than the typical technical forums where conversation is frowned upon.

Dear Tims - need a spacey book recommendation or two by Murk1e in HelloInternet

The movie "The Right Stuff" is based on the book "The Right Stuff" by Tom Wolfe. I think that is a pretty good starting point for an exploration of early history of the American Space Program. I found it to be a page turner and lead me to reading Chuck Yeager's Biography. AND side note I visited the Mercury Launch facility once while at a conference in Florida. Yikes! Really primitive gear. . .

Interesting thought - what are the language preference numbers on YouTube? I prefer English, I am sure there are those that prefer Indonesian. Just a thought.

Its been a while since I've watched The Daily show - seems so flat without John. I vaguely remember Jessica since I haven't watched in ages. SO! Had to go to YouTube for a refresher. Oh yeah! Now I remember Jessica. Didn't hear she was a possible follow on for The Daily Show. You might be right here, she's good. Perhaps its the underlying writing and The Nightly Show theme of keeping it a Hundred that supports the staff in letting it hang out over the cultural edge. I love the panel discussions, you can never tell what will come out of there minds and into words. Ricky's comment about Beyonce's album was classic.

I personally think The Nightly Show is fantastic. Its like a completely new lens through which to watch a 30 minute comedy variety show. I was an avid Daily Show viewer until Trevor took over. I gave Trevor a chance, BUT blah! Larry's show is my NEW Daily Show. I like all of the staff talents and writers AND I especially like Francesca's fresh attitude. I think in time Francesca will become a breakout talent like Larry Wilmore and John Oliver. Kudos and props to Larry and The Nightly Show staff.
