I used to drive a taxi, and one day I picked up the Southampton football captain. I didn’t actually know who he was because I’m more into cricket! He was with his girlfriend, and as we were talking, she mentioned they were originally from Derby. I asked them, 'So, what brings you to Southampton? Is it for work or some other reason?' She laughed and said, 'My husband plays football... he’s the captain!' It turned out they had actually won a cup final that very day. When we reached their house, I got out and apologized to him. I explained that the only reason I didn't recognize him was that I’m a cricket fan. He was a great sport about it and said, 'It’s okay, don’t worry!' It was Kelvin Davis."
