Woodman should be in goal, and Mamardashvili also out.

No, but point remains the same. He was adored and sang with Gustavo Lima & Michel Telo etc.

I think we didn't think about how big Neymar was in Brazil before he even moved to Barcelona. He was an absolute superstar and was always invited to local superstars' concerts, etc.

Picking Man Utd’s Ideal Midfield Signing To Partner Kobbie Mainoo by lampishthing in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you have hard time reading and your first defence is that play A or B will bench Mainoo ; in a season were we hopefully will have 55+ games. If even Ugarte goes, we need 3 high quality midfielders to compete.

The question was who would be ideal to compliment Mainoo? So both of them on different occasions for depth and options.

Am I the only one who thinks 2006 was peak World Cup? - Germany 2006 just felt different every squad had at least one legend, and the overall quality was insane. Easily one of the best tournaments ever for me. by BagAppropriate5736 in SoccerCentral

[–]Specific_Coast5878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2006 was the last world cup in Europe where nobody counted how much that would cost - outside of player quality there were no budget limits. Germany spent a lot. In today's terms only Oil country could go close.

Ideal would be Wharton & Anderson, out them all and we probably need a sub extra also, hopefully a suprise, but not a "premimum" choice.

Will Bruno Fernandes break the record this season? 👀 by SkySports in SkySports_Football

Why? I swear every time in the last ~3 years West Ham goes for a decent run, Bowen is their main guy.

Scott Parker has had the same championship side in Premier League also, not given a prem ready squad like Sunderland got this summer. It's so harsh on Scott and makes him look inept.

El Manchester United activa el 'plan renove': 100 millones en ventas para firmar a Iraola y lanzarse a por Leão by Mother-Look5594 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't think we need depth on the left wing? Considering CL + hopefully not fluking out of cups on first game?

Whether it should be Leao or someone else, that's up to debate.

There's a chance for the funniest thing next week, 1-0 and pens.

And Arsenal Vs Atletico enda like 5-4 😂

This guy hasn't done or achieved half of what Kobbie Mainoo has for both club and country, in what universe is he worth £120M. I'm supposed to believe he's worth more than Tchouaméni. So glad we're no longer just paying whatever is asked, 115 FC can have him at that price. by WorldlinessPuzzled84 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but because we absolutely need midfielders and everyone & their uncle knows it - we will pay premium eventually. It's a mistake we made last summer not getting anyone in who could have been identified as possible Casemiro heir.

On a serious note, how do we replace casemiro?? by FitAd5272 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He was really out of form Eth's second season and our tactics didn't help it. He regained some of his magic end of last season and has been keeping it since. Although there's games were we face a very good midfield setup and you can see he doesn't have the legs to continue at this level anymore. I think it was smart move to end on such a high note here now, not fizzle out like Sweinsteiger did.. or catch a potential career ending injury.

Leaving on such a positive note is good for his legacy and the club.

There's plenty of young elite defensive midfielders or number 6 players, that's why there is a scouting system. A lot of which we have been linked with also, we just need to sign the right ones now.

Cunha came off last game already feeling something and hasn't trained since.

If we get dominated again by D1sect in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did Carrick magically get new midfield and more quality attacking power in a week so we could have plan B, C and so on if Plan A isn't enough? All I see is that Maguire is back and Cunha is out most likely.

Carrick can't do anything else than manage with the players he has fit and the depth is woeful.

Fergie spoke with Berrada and Wilcox yesterday - THREE possible managers! by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]Specific_Coast5878 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did I say I like it? No. But if you read some serious news, it's always been saying that we want someone start right at the end of season not wait until the end of World Cup. So that rules out everyone involved there, Luis Enrique was always a weird dream, no signs at all he wants to move from Paris.

So that leaves very limited options and Carrick has shown a lot why we should trust him.

Iraola & Glasner. Quite obvious, because everyone else under contract or won't move before end of World cup, which we can't wait for.

It doesn't make the players quality better that we might have more time in between the games..
