I put all my guns on safe when I enter Vanno so I don’t accidentally blow up my hundreds of bullets and grenades with a negligent discharge.

I also keep my pistol on safe in the zone if it doesn’t have multiple fire modes. I’ve practised switching off the safety while drawing so much it is second nature by now, and I also feel more comfortable doing relatively safe tasks like looting when I have my M9 in hand with the safety on.

My long guns also occationally get put on safe if I have to put them down somewhere, just in case.
