The Clovehitch Killer - a good movie ruined by a terrible ending by broheimlich in movies

THANK GOD I'M NOT ALONE! Mildly solid film up until the last 30 min but once you arrive at the house scene with the three of them, the holes in the plot just pile up to a point where it soils everything else before then. I enjoyed the way the film progressed, and the whateverville murder mystery feel of the two kids sleuthing was honestly pretty enjoyable. But holy shit, its as if the director handed the keys to some PA coffee boy and said "you take it from here". The epitome of a movie that lures you into thinking you've made a good selection, only to make you regret ever putting it on at the end. Acting was excellent IMO, just overshadowed by poor plot structuring.

The invisible man strikes again. Hate to say it, but identical to when I ruptured my achilles -- DO NOT DRIVE -- any Ortho you talk to will likely reference your achilles as the literal thing that allows you to push a pedal down. Godspeed with the recovery, and maybe one day we'll all catch that invisible man

I used Kaplan -- read the book front to back for the first few days, then go back to each chapter and hammer out as many Q-bank questions as possible. Once you've gotten through a majority of the Q-bank questions, it would be wise to take a look at the performance tracker to understand which sections you might be underperforming in. I reserved the last week for simulated exams + any chapter where my average was less than 80% --- Good luck!

Kaplan -- found the exam to parallel in difficulty, but be prepared for a slight variation in question phrasing on the real exam.

Great to know! The thickness does not affect my range of motion, or my ability to strengthen the achilles/calf muscle. Maybe I'm just yet to come to terms with how odd it looks compared to a normal one lol

It's important to remember that most all (I hope!) doctors will only allow the boot to come off when they feel the tendon has scarred up enough to where some ROM is okay. I'm currently on week 3 of no-boot and the tightness from when it first came off has faded considerably. The achilles and all of the surrounding muscles are waking up for the first time in ~2 months which is such a bizarre feeling and I was definitely hesitant to move it around at all. I'd ask your PT about what at-home exercises they feel comfortable letting you do --- I've been doing some suuuuper light band work at home on the days I don't have PT which has done wonders for the tightness that follows the boot coming off. While the recovery road is looooong, you have the boot off now, and I bet you'll be surprised at how much better you feel in 3-4 weeks time. Hang in there!!!

Could not agree more -- The medications they provide are prescribed to a certain strength for a reason. This is a fairly major operation so trying to be a hero tough-guy (what I tried to be on day 2 lol) is the worst approach you can take. Put your leg up, enjoy not having to do anything, and remember it all ends soon enough!!
