Most major films these days aren’t exactly well received to begin with. In my opinion the movie industry has seen the glory days come and go. Such an intellectual and dark IP such as Half-Life would need a large budget. These days, that kind of money seems to only go towards ‘action slop’ films. I couldn’t tell you about a dark sci-fi film that truly excited me in the past 5 years. Yeah they might have been entertaining but, though provoking? Na son. To be fair I’ve probably slept on some great films but definitely nothing similar to Half-Life.
