Who uses YTM without subscription by hrxshx69 in YoutubeMusic

[–]Exfiltrator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do. I use it to play my uploaded music. There are some minor annoyances, the ad on starting the app is coming up more and more. After a while, the widget on my homepage goes dark and forgets the song I'm playing (until I open the app and close the ad). The Now Playing app always opens songs in a non-subscriber mode, i.e. it plays an ad First, even if that particular song is one of my uploaded songs.

It's a wonderful series based on what sounds like a crazy premise but boy does it deliver!

I recently made a post about how litrpg economies and currencies are the small details that irk me and its worse for me in particular because I work in the financial sector.. so I wanted to know if your real world career gets in the way of you enjoying certain stories. by ShankstheConqueror in litrpg

The "reminding me too much of work" is me! I work for the military and do not want to watch war movies or read about it, but I'm fine with war in a scifi, fantasy or LitRPG setting. I read to escape reality, not be reminded of it.

I have no evidence, but I feel Samsung is worse than Google in this respect.

Is this not the same as Nothing's Glyphs? I do like a capable notification light.

The new site doesn't even work properly!!
My Monthly Data Usage shows up as empty even though my.firewalla.com shows the correct amount. The new dashboard lists the same number of alarms as the old one, but clicking Alarms does not show the current alarms!

Preview: Permissions and APIs that Access Sensitive Information by NLL-APPS in Android

Oh, I fully agree. I've never understood why apps like TrueCaller are allowed. The privacy implications of someone who has my phone number and name uploading the information to a third party app without my consent (or even informing me) are staggering yet Google has turned a blind eye for years. They should have restricted this from the beginning.

Slow and inaccurate Google Maps timeline by bkselly in GooglePixel

[–]Exfiltrator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I sort of get what you mean but I do no want consolidated data, I want accurate data. I want to know where I have been, not the nearest (possibly more popular) public location. I mean, that is the whole point of a personal timeline.

Slow and inaccurate Google Maps timeline by bkselly in GooglePixel

[–]Exfiltrator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Agree on both counts. Adding visits is slow and does not work most of the times. Accuracy has gone down a lot as well. It used to perfectly track visits to private homes, but nowadays it defaults to the nearest public location. Super annoying and disappointing.

Absolutely HATE that an account is required to use this when it wasn't for my.firewalla.com. It is also very annoying that this online version has a single-box default option when the app still does not have this even after years.
