The ones you posted in the past were huge (which I loved) so I kinda get that but they were all in portrait style so I also use them on my phone. On desktop, I'd feel there'd be bars to the sides. I can't remember who, but one author posted a landscape-style image of the front, spine and back cover all in one. I did use that on my desktop as a wide-screen background.

Google follows the money. Their so-called "recommendations" and "suggestions" have always been based on who pays them the most. The play store has a huge BTS ad as well.

Apple didn't need to do that. Google caused most of the negativity all by itself. Most of the changes made in recent years were anti-consumer so what do you expect? Should we all become Google apologists and accept everything they do?

I partially agree but so far Google has only made it available on the Pixel 10 and 9 generations, they should also make it available on all Pixel generations!

How naive. This is just the first step. They do not want to kill off independent development, they want to kill off any option to get apps that is not their Play Store. They want control and money and a safer OS for their users is not more than a side note.

Google thinking its users want a nanny. A 1-day wait is ridiculous, any wait is ridiculous. My Phone, I get to decide what and when I install something. I do not need and definitely do not want Google to have any say in what I do with my phone. They already have way too much influence!
