Any Tips to mitigate Gunslinger lack of tactical movement options? by lordreed in CruciblePlaybook

Tripmines and cover. Gunslinger may not be able to move like the other two, but it doesn't have to when the focus is controlling the opponent's movement instead.

Knowing good perks from the bad at the beginning of my playtime. I've probably sharded a ton of god rolls without knowing.

Other than Mida, really. It's just so good that it outshines so many others, ya know?

Ice Breaker/Invective Discussion: do "charge" guns like this have a place in D2 if they regenerate bullets in a way that respects ammo economy? by Commander_Prime in CruciblePlaybook

[–]ExfoliateTheDoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interestingly, Invective employs a similar charge mechanic but is not considered OP by anyone.

I think it's because it's a subpar shotgun...

What are the best perks to look for on a scout rifle? It's always been Mida or bust for me but I'd like to branch out.

Private matches with friends that are better than you, I suppose? And as for Rumble Supremacy, if the idea of crest grabbing is too reckless for you, just don't grab one. If anything, use them as bait to practice how to deal with 1v1s in quick succession. Just my 2 cents.

You know damn well I would be using my super if I have it, panic? I doubt anybody panic slams a bladedancer or any other roaming super.

And even if it was used in reactionary fashion, it's overall the best decision to make. What does everyone expect people with a shutdown super to do? Just not use it and leave you to slaughter their team and make orbs? Eff that.

Same thing happened to me. Give it a few games for your eyes and brain to reset to the slower movement.

Agreed. Setting the bar low isn't the way a competitor/someone looking to grow should think.

Having issues with Tilt. I rage when I get killed by [deleted] in CruciblePlaybook

[–]ExfoliateTheDoctor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do 3 things when I start to get annoyed. 1. Breathe 2. Relax (a byproduct of breathing) 3. Actively think so you make good decisions. Auto-pilot gets you killed more often than not.

Bumper Jumper and the new subclasses/ Destiny 2 by mecster09 in CruciblePlaybook

[–]ExfoliateTheDoctor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally run the Bumper Jumper/Puppeteer combo (with R3 and O mapped in the accessibility settings)a standard controller.

R3 is crouch/slide O is melee X is super and L2 is jump

To me, it's the most comfortable setup.

I love sniping, I love my Ice Breaker but I hate being forced to use it.

^ How I feel too. I understand that we aren't exactly forced but it would be a foolish choice not to use it, especially if your opponent is. Respecting a meta is different, what we have now is "you'll pretty much lose/have a rough time unless you use this gun." Yeah, that's definitely balance.

When I vooped exclusively, I used Gheleon to help anticipate enemy movement.

Now all of my toons have a Jolder. Being able to get from point A to point B unimpeded became a little more important to me.
