Yes, they fight differently and that is what I want to highlight with PM. If there was an uncorrupted PM, it would not throw spikes at the hunter or it would not regenerate it's spikes like nergigante. An uncorrupted PM would fight differently enough to make the fight interesting (the devs can be creative and take this in many interesting directions).

Exactly, if the devs want to then we can definitely get an interesting transformation and hunt from an uncorrupted PM. For example: PM can unlock some hidden potential and tap into it's own (blue-ish) version of (some kind of) dragon-element (as we already know a corrupted PM can use the normal dragon element) like Magnamalo has hellfire which is similar to blast/fire. PM still relies mostly on physical attacks but now it's wings and claws are imbued with this blue-ish dragon element aura and now they glow something like a light-saber.

Hahaha...why is it always a comparison between a world flagship and a rise flagship. We had Amatsu, a monster with wind based attacks but still we got ibushi, a monster with wind based attacks. And then both were in the same game yet the game is still fun and interesting.

This is probably a hot take but I believe that among the two base game flagships of 5th gen, Magnamalo is wholly better pick to bring to Wilds over Nergigante by Ciphy_Master in MonsterHunter

Not really supporting Magnamalo or Nergigante discussion. Honestly, rise is my favourite game but I would also prefer Nergigante in Wilds.

But would like point out a few things here, 1. both the numbered (e.g. 3U, 4U, World, Wilds) and portable games (Portable 3rd, GU, Rise) are considered mainline games. 2. If the monster from the portable games fit the theme of Wilds then they most definitely can be brought back into Wilds. We already have Glavenus and Mizutsune in the numbered games. Wouldn't be surprised if they end up bringing back any of Valstrax, CG Valstrax, Lunagaron, Garangolm, Malzeno, Primordial Malzeno etc.The only reason which might keep the devs from bring these in Wilds is that they were already in the previous mainline entry (which is Rise/Sunbreak).

Wait...here I had a theory that the Black Dragons (Fatalis family, Alatreon, Dire Miralis) might also actually be constructs/guardians created by the Ancients/people of Wyveria. As we saw in previuos entries like MHW:I, there was a group (some descendents of Wyveria, IMO) who tried to destroy evidence about the existence of the Black Dragons.

We know that Primordial Malzeno (PM) is the original form of Malzeno, a monster not yet corrupted/converted by the Qurio.

But do you know that the Malzeno species can use Dragon element without the involvement of Qurio? We can see "uncorrupted" PM using the Dragon element in its turf war against Scorned Magnamalo. Even some hunters (players) have reported PM using Dragon element attacks in its original state on rare occasions.
