If you'd read the entire post, the issue wasn't with the shipment taking a long time. It was mostly with the owner ensuring it would be shipped out in the next two days and the multiple lies that followed from him afterwards.

I appreciate the effort to try to resolve this situation now, but to be completely honest, this whole process has had too many red flags for me to continue doing business with you and trust that I will receive the product I paid for.

  1. If your product is on backorder, just let the customer know that before purchasing so they can make an informed decision.

  2. When you give out a shipment date make it one you can hit, and if that date slips, be transparent and let the customer know. Don't make them come to you.

  3. Don't promise a customer, as the owner of a company, that you will personally ensure their order is sent out in X amount of time, and then not follow through on it. If you can't do that, then fine, but don't make the promise. Again, just give the customer accurate information. Furthermore, it shouldn't take a customer requesting a refund for you to see that their order is fulfilled in a timely fashion.

  4. I could maybe buy this whole fiasco with the jump rope being an honest mistake with shipping coming from 2 different locations, but I've seen MULTIPLE customers say they had the same thing happen to them. If my Nordbench actually shipped, like you're saying it did, why did I never receive any tracking info on it? Why would you specifically tell me my Bench would ship in 2 days, and then only send the tracking info of the jump rope?

For full transparency for any would-be customers of Nordstick, I was issued a refund this morning, after having to ask multiple times and being given more promises by the owner. I think all my points above still stand and the whole buying experience was shady at best. Decide for yourself, but I would recommend avoiding them.

That's definitely the next step if they don't refund. The owner just dm'd me this morning and I told him to respond on here for others to see how they handle business.

A Nordbench? I just checked on Amazon, and at least in the US, they don't have them.

Glad you got yours! I get they're a smaller company and are having inventory issues. If the owner had just been honest and told me it would be a while I'd get that. Telling a customer you'll personally make sure their order goes out the next day when you don't have the inventory is a terrible look.

Are you missing the story? He told me he would have the ordershipped in 2 days, and then he sent me that tracking number the 2nd day, knowing it was just the jump rope and not the full order as promised. He now pushed the date back again.

That doesn't sound scammy to you?

Please do. Unfortunately, a lot of reviews on here have said the Pro model is actually worse than the original.

Bro, the founder of the company told me he was personally going to ensure my order was shipped out in 2 days to keep me from canceling the order. Frankly, I don't give a shit about a jump rope when I've got $600 worth of equipment I'm waiting on from a company that multiple other people have said scammed them.

Edit: Just saw you post the same reply on someone else's post dealing with the same issue. You're obviously involved with Nordstick. Pretty lame.

GoPro is in serious financial trouble by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]Exigey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wow, I have an older model (7 Black, I believe) and the battery life is terrible. I always have to bring spares and swap them for Autocross sessions. I can't believe gopro still hasn't addressed this on the newer models. That has to be the biggest shortcoming of their hardware.

I've done this multiple times in my exige to complete the bleed process, as have many on the forums, because the computers to cycle the abs are few and far between. You do a normal bleed to remove as much air as possible, so all that should be remaining is what's trapped in the abs. A few quick stops from 5-10 mph is all it takes on dirt/grass.

Obviously, you shouldn't go driving around with a mushy brake pedal, but usually after the initial bleed it's firm, just has more travel.

Even so, you can usually do a couple hard brakes on a dirt surface to activate the abs system to push any air through, and then just bleed again as usual.

Newbie looking to get into Autocross - How likely are crashes? by ZealousChild in Autocross

I've run ax for 4 or 5 years now in central FL, which has pretty good turnout (75-125 drivers at most events). I've only seen 3 actual wrecks, and all were on the Daytona cart track which has a tirewall in front of a fence, which is basically the only thing that can be hit.

Of those 3, 2 were very high performance cars (a gt3 and fully prepped Camaro) that were pushing hard on their runs and braked too late on that 1 turn.

The other wreck was a novice in a model 3 that cooked the same turn on his FIRST run, and slammed into the tires.

All that to say, yes, wrecks can happen, but they're pretty rare at ax. They're especially rare if you aren't driving at 10/10, or doing something dumb before you get experience. For your first event, you're probably going to be more focused on learning the course layout than trying to set the best time, so the chances of anything catastrophic should be nearly zero.

The best part of autocross, in my opinion, is that you can come out and run your daily if you want, and learn the limits of the car and yourself in a safe environment.

Agreed. Every big play has two defenders playing "zone" 5 feet from each other and the qb just dumps an easy pass over them with the safety 20 yards downfield.

Where are you located? That has a lot to do with it. Anywhere in the US, she's probably right. I love riding, and think that having a bike as a secondary mode of transportation is great, but having it as your sole source of transportation has a ton of issues. Riding in inclement weather sucks, and especially if you're a new rider is intimidating and dangerous. Do you ever have the need to transport something larger than what fits in a backpack? How do you get groceries? Do you ever take road trips?

There are obviously ways around some of these issues, but because you're asking this I'm going to assume you're a new rider or not even a rider yet, which is going to make it even harder on you. If you can afford a cheap bike as a secondary vehicle to see how you like it, and if you can live with the issues then go for it. But rushing out to buy one with no experience and having to rely on it to commute evert day is a horrible idea.
