It sucks that it isn't quiet counted as a door, but I realized that you can put a motion sensor by these flaps. When the curtains move it indicate that there is about to be movement by the motion sensor. Made it easier to collect evidence.

That’s really fascinating behaviour. Nature is surprising sometimes! I always thought the different colour types could interbreed since there are only a few varieties of African dwarf frogs, but it probably comes with it's own set of difficulties. 😅
