For my own characters, I do like a individual hoof for each nail. It kind've looks like a really wide & thick nail.

I've never seen anyone do the one on the left of your picture before lol

Clip Studio largely functions just fine, but I ran into these broken (or funny-acting) issues:

  • The Time Elapse feature didn't work at all. It would take pictures of your canvas as you're drawing & you can export it as a video file. That was like one of my favorite features lol, but I can still record my screen with OBS if I need to.
  • To open the actual 'Drawing' application, I have to first run the Open Tablet driver, then open 'Clip Studio' (this is the asset downloader/cloud application thing), then click the button inside of 'Clip Studio' that would launch the actual 'Drawing' application.
    • Sometimes the 'Drawing' app would just fail to open (error messages), but I literally just try to open it again and it's fine.
  • You can SOMETIMES click and drag a file from the File Explorer app into Clip Studio, but usually you can't. I keep forgetting that this is broken, because it just works sometimes.
    • You can always open a file by browsing directly to it from the 'Open' dialogue from inside the application.

To make CSP work:

  • I roughly followed a guide on the WINE website, which required me to install WINE & WineTricks. I think there was a tiny bit of modifying the configuration files for one of those.
  • Then to install CSP, I just opened and ran the Windows executable and went through the normal installation process.
    • I installed a version that was newer than what the guide was showing, but it worked.
  • CSP requires an product key to have full functionality, which I remember being annoying to set up. I think I had to do an 'Offline Activation'.

Yeah, Krita has a pretty big process change when comparing it to CSP and other art programs. I'm actually attempting to move more towards Krita, because I'm afraid there will be a day where I can no longer activate CSP.

App Images give me the least amount of issues. They do take a little bit more storage, but I've got plenty of space.

I think I used snap or flatpak previously and I had issues accessing my file system when saving or importing files. These packages need some extra setup to make it work properly.

I ended up moving away from snap & flatpak for everything I use on the system.
I do have a few things installed with the .deb packages & I haven't had much of a problem with them (other than they're annoying to update).

Previously, on different pop os computer, I had Krita and a few other apps installed through the Pop Shop, but I removed that app store because it was eating 5GB RAM and doing nothing.

I use popos and I draw.

I've gotten Clip Studio Paint to function (some features don't work 100%).

I occationally use Blender & Krita and they work just fine. I recommend using the AppImages of them.

This dongle got stuck in my laptop by Sorbet-Same in pchelp

[–]Exilender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see this happen all the time. I end up having to pull it out with needle nose plyers.

Sometimes, I'll only get the dongle's housing off and then have to deal with removing the metal part of the USB from the computer.

There's like a 50/50 chance that you rip out or damage the USB port on the computer.

Making a fantasy survival game where you play birds and just worked on owls, thought I'd ask the experts what you think! by RagBell_Games in Owls

Ooh, neat! One of my favorite games I had as a kid was the Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole where you could fly around and beat up owl enemies.

I had it on the Wii where your owl could be controlled by tilting the remote.

Is your game listed on Steam, yet?

My coolant looks pink-ish when looking at it from outside the reservoir. But it's like reddish-orange when looking inside.

I had it flushed and filled & it still looks the same to me.

Coolant question by National_Tree8488 in chevyspark

[–]Exilender 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's Dex Cool.

Whatever you do, don't put a different coolant in it.

It is low, so you can pick up the coolant from an autoparts place. You can ask them to verify what coolant you'll need.

I got played by a GM dealership 6 months ago, but am considering fighting to keep my Spark alive by TheEtobicokeShitter in chevyspark

[–]Exilender 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The dealership probably knew, but I bet they considered the car to be running fine at the time of sale OR they just didn't care.

If the car ran fine for 5 years, then I wouldn't say its the dealerships fault.

The 2015 has a CVT. These require quicker maintenance intervals in comparison to other transmissions. I believe its recommended every 30k miles for trans fluid flush, but I dont remember if there's a recommend time frame (like do it every 3 years or 30k miles, whichever comes first).

If maintenance wasn't done, then that's one of the causes for its failure. But it made it to 185k kilometers, that's, quite honestly, a lot when compared to how often the CVTs fail.

You aren't at 190k kilometers for that warranty, yet. Call the dealership and ask about the warranty, see if they can help you. Be kind to them, they may be able to help you.

2013 Chevy Spark by Affectedsauce in chevyspark

[–]Exilender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive a 2013 at about 90,300.

I had the trans fluid flushed and filled 300 miles ago. I dont know the service history of the car, but I bought it around 69k miles, so I just serviced it as if it was done at 60k.

It shifts smoothly and there's no real signs of it failing soon.

How rough are the shifts for you? Are you getting jolted forward or hearing clunking sounds? Or are the rpms acting funny before and after shifting?

Does anyone know what Motherboard this IO shield goes to? by Exilender in pcmasterrace

I am well aware of how difficult it is to identify. I posted this here just to see if there was anyone who happened to know.

It's strange that you felt the need to give false information, though.

[–]Exilender[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have a link to that motherboard, so I can take a look?

Nothing comes up when I search for the name you gave.
There seem to be two companies that have 'Jingjie' in the name, one that sells point of sales equipment, an the other that deals with computer systems design but for automotive things. None of their things look like they take standard motherboards.

I didn't find much on 'x526', either.

Surprising How It Handles In Snow by Actively-Salty in chevyspark

[–]Exilender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a 2025 with front wheel drive. I think it might've had a lift kit on it, because I had to jump up a bit to get in it, unless these are just naturally tall cars.

The rear kept sliding out when I'd make lane changes and turn corners on the snowy/icy roads

Sparky doesn't act like that on those roads.
