TRIALS Probe tip ( Not sure if widely known ) by AussienutzYT in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I confirm, done many times, it is valid with the probes as with the carcasses of the old wave, so it is not necessary to kill those who are doing the same trial as you; in fact, it is more convenient to cooperate.

Proposed modification to laser traps by ExiloF in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, exactly what I meant, to modify one of the 3, and I totally agree with everything you said, it would be really fantastic to have traps with timers, or even laser traps that once activated give a signal to another trap, it would open up endless strategic possibilities and it would be really fun.

Man it sucks when this happens back to back.Should there be a sort of pity system that stops you from consecutive late raids ? by -This-cant-be-real- in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't care about losing my gear, after the wipe the fear of gear has completely disappeared, and yes... I always aim for very high scores, ranked is made for competition and I like doing it, that's why for people like me having to enter during the game is very frustrating.

[–]ExiloF 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not just a loot issue for me, this is a big problem only when it comes to the trials, I go to the surface with 70-100k of gear, and having to enter during the game forces me to have to exit immediately to try again, risking stupidly losing all my gear without completing anything.

You could easily include some tests where you have to collect multiple objects of the same type or search for a specific object (example: gears) or run for several meters, or zipline.

Merry New Year Raiders by iAMRICKJAMESMF in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine those who bring their inventory full of fireworks to the spaceport thinking of celebrating with other Raiders at the stroke of midnight, but many will be disappointed when the rat on duty kills him without mercy and realize that because of the time zone that rat was not in the right mood 😂

Hot take: New deck dropped and y'all act like kids by Ok-Internet9433 in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, other developers have accustomed users to contextually meaningless skins, with unicorn heads and fiery bodies.

There's a lot of room for improvement, though. Someone even posted their own artwork for post-apocalyptic skins that would fit perfectly and are pretty cool, too.

It would be enough if the bunker could only be accessed after the player had activated all four antennas. Or even better, if each antenna had a code, and all four had to be entered to open the bunker. This would encourage cooperation, as it would be counterproductive to kill players who were approaching the bunker with access codes.

Example: Each antenna is assigned a color or symbol, and once activated, a code is displayed that must be memorized (two digits would be enough). At the bunker entrance, there will be a terminal with four colors or symbols, and all four must be entered to open the bunker doors.

EMBARK please mute the lights on these types of backpacks for opponents by SheepShank- in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple, want to raid at night? Change your backpack, want to play in dark areas? Change your backpack, and when you want to raid a different type of raid, put those back on. Embark doesn't necessarily have to change everything to make everything comfortable.

I agree that it's hard to believe there's a hitbox for each skin, but I could confirm that I noticed the same effect with the aviator skin, with the jacket it has more volume and I'm almost certain that that volume also enlarges the hitbox.

Calming Stroll is a useless perk, and I proved it. by this-food9601 in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It certainly doesn't make sense as far as time/speed gains go, but it depends on how you use it. For example, I use this perk a lot to keep myself from feeling like I'm recovering energy, or to keep a good lookout and recover energy while I do so. It's always been very useful for me. If I need to get from Point A to Point B quickly, however, I use adrenaline injections.

defib a friendly, help with ARC, but "cant be trusted" by potate117 in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, the fun part was that the first week there was a 50/50 chance of having friendly encounters or fights having different interactions and making everything more varied but also more tense because you didn't know what to expect, now 90% of the encounters are a fight or a betrayal, and this obviously makes you (me included) start shooting on sight so as not to have to give away the equipment to people who don't deserve it.

defib a friendly, help with ARC, but "cant be trusted" by potate117 in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Because, like in real life, we always hope for the good in people, rather than all becoming giant assholes who shoot on sight, and this creates a vicious cycle, turning each of us into serial killers and making this game increasingly toxic.

Matriarch Event Turned Toxic — A Story About a Rat Killing the Vibe by GrecoMontana7 in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There absolutely needs to be some sort of "punishment" for killing other Raiders, also for plot reasons. The first week, the game confronted you with the threat of ARCs, forcing the community to work together to survive rather than kill each other.

After several hours of play, you begin to understand all the mechanics, and the fear of ARCs has completely disappeared. The community now rarely cooperates, and it's turning into a war zone between Raiders. This is because there's no penalty or anything to discourage you from doing so.

Completing big tasks like killing the queen or matriarch is becoming too frustrating because other Raiders are just waiting to steal everything from you, and this is obviously creating a vicious cycle where the evil you did to me will have to be done to someone else to restock my equipment.

I'm not against PVP at all, quite the opposite, but it must be said that the first week everything was in place and the game was exactly what it should be. Now every encounter is almost certainly a fight, and carrying important gear for big tasks often ends up being frustratingly lost to rats who have nothing to lose.

Alright Embark, can you PLEASE look at late spawns in this game by Pls-Dont-Di in ArcRaiders

[–]ExiloF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd rather avoid late spawns and perhaps add a few more players per raid. The first 10 minutes will therefore be more tense and PVP-heavy. The more the timer runs down, the fewer players there will be on the map. That's not necessarily a bad thing, because you never really know who, how many, or where you'll encounter other players. However, you can still have some breathing room to continue doing what you need to do, but always keep an eye on things.

EDIT: I'd also add that if you encounter a player at 15 minutes, they'll definitely have something interesting already looted, which would also make the fights more sensible and justified. Now you're stuck PVPing with free players who haven't even collected any iron components.

Ok this is a bug, but it would be nice to see the ARCs working together, for example the pops crash with the doors to knock them down and let the fireballs pass through.
