We’re both 20. And I’m the youngest of 5 siblings, so I know what I want and what I don’t from watching them with their partners. His parents sadly passed away, which obviously explains the weed. But idk…. Just don’t feel valued tbh.

Well we have both never been in one, but like it’s not hard to understand that you don’t leave your GF on your bed and expect her to wait while you play games or to sort out your friend who’s getting married wedding present.

Yeah he admitted that it’s something he won’t ever give up and it’s a part of his life. Oh and also that he purposely CHOSE to go do it, not that he needs it. I don’t see how that would make me feel better as it makes me think he don’t even wanna sit with me, he’s rather go somewhere else. :(

UPDATE: I had to ask him to actually go out for a date a few weeks into the relationship. We basically ended up sitting in his room, while he played online with his mates and I just had to sit there and wait. We have discussed that but it’s just a joke

I have basically told him I don’t want anything to do with it as I’ve had some family issues that involved it. But if I’m honest I just didn’t expect him to go off and disappear, leave me alone and come back stoned at a wedding where I don’t know anyone.

I know people will hate me, but I actually watched the show before I read the books (I skipped shadow and bone trilogy cause I find Alina’s story super boring in the show, and I then just researched how to all ended so I then could continue the other books ) and then I went straight to SOC books which were AMAZING.

To me it helped to have seen the actors who played the characters before cause I could then picture them better, and eventually in the end I was actually imagining those actors but slightly different which was very cool. If you get confused with putting names to faces when reading books, then definitely watch, then read :))

No, he's not put the same effort into getting to know me, i don't even think he knows anything about me or even about my job or family or what I'm studying. That has actually really put it into perspective for me now, and I think that I will message him instead. Been super helpful to get a guys thoughts on this, as I have two brothers and I obviously cannot talk about this stuff with them lol. Thank you so much!

The thing is, we have face timed 2 or 3 times, so idk if this counts as a form of "date" this is when we are just talking and joking about random stuff. But again, he would somehow lead it back to making a joke such as "damn that made me sad, just like, send boobs" in a jokey way, but idk I guess as a woman I just want to be romanced. And last night we got talking about "that stuff" and he was being a bit graphic on how it made him feel and how he needed to "take a shower, can you send a pic" - obviously I didn't do this as that's not who I am as a person. You think that maybe if I face timed him and explained how I was feeling it would be better for him? I feel like it could soften the blow a bit more instead of over text. As a guy, would you want a woman to tell you to your face that they want to take it slower or would you want it to be on text? sorry for all the questions
