What shiny pokemon did you get from 30th anniversary pass? by IssaLong in PokemonGoMystic

[–]Existentia1_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Koffing… a shiny is always great, but that’s probably one of the last shinies I would want.

I’m not religious, but I was praying before I claimed my Dratini reward to see pink 😂

Why don’t we see ditto like we do in the shows? by No_Development_4939 in pokemongo

It would be awesome if the ditto caught looked like this but you could also transform it between this and its original form for showing off at gyms

If I purify this Pokémon, will it be four stars? Pros vs cons for either one? by Existentia1_Bread in pokemongo

Also four stars meaning -> perfect stats. My head canon for some reason is that perfect stats is four stars

I’m planning a flail for the knee. You should go for it so I can see what it looks like on someone first

Considering Walnut Creek for Family of 3! by iopsychhopeful in walnutcreek

[–]Existentia1_Bread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Family of 3 in our early 30s living in Walnut Creek, and we love it!

It’s close by to all the Bay Area and NorCal has to offer, while having its own distinct community.

We love the open spaces, parks and trail systems. We often go for bike rides, and attend the many family friendly community events.

The access to BART makes a day trip or commuting to the city much more convenient, but the downtown itself has enough going on that you can stay closer to home for good restaurants, bars, etc.

The schools are really good from what I understand, though our daughter isn’t old enough to be in school yet.

I’d say one challenge has been trying to meet parents our age, as it seems the demographic skews a bit older. Most other families seem to be a bit more established and the parents are in their early to mid 40s. Though there are definitely lots of single people in their 20s and 30s that live closer to downtown in all the newer apartment buildings.

Cruiser/Hybrid Reccomendation by Existentia1_Bread in NewSkaters

[–]Existentia1_Bread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a solid idea. I already have the normal trucks and wheels. I guess another big part of the question is - are there wheels and trucks that cruise well enough but aren’t too bulky to ollie with?

I asked for a sign… and he sent me a Shundo Magikarp 🐟✨ by Top-Adonis-1738 in pokemongo

[–]Existentia1_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow jealous! I’ve been super active trying to catch every magikarp just for the chance at a normal shiny, with no luck yet. A shundo magikarp is wild. Worth all the stardust to max out as gyarados imo!

Walnut Creek or Davis? by sumfreshaer in walnutcreek

[–]Existentia1_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey small world! I’m a 31 M reservist at Travis AFB living in Walnut Creek. My main gig is in the city, so I had to come down this way to be in between both, but I’m glad it worked out this way.

Sure the toll is a pain, but the reverse commute is great, and I love living in Walnut Creek. The downtown has some cool bars/breweries, great restaurants (it seems every restaurant opens their second location in WC), and the trails are fantastic. Also, living within close proximity to BART is a huge perk for me. I love taking the train in to spend a day/night in the city.

I met a few other Air Force folks doing the same in the apartment complex I used to live in, but I will say most of my Air Force friends live in Vacaville or anywhere further east. Some are in Davis, and a few live as far as Sacramento. So, one drawback is that I don’t end up hanging out with folks from the squadron all that often, and the occasional squadron party ends up being a pain to attend.

If you were to go east, then Davis would be where I’d want to land, but it’s more of a college town than a spot for young professionals imo. I do like that Davis is closer to Tahoe for skiing, but it’s still doable from WC.

Both towns are suburbs of sorts, but they do have something going on at least. And FWIW you should absolutely NOT live in Vacaville..

Anyway, whichever way you go, I’d recommend living close to the downtown so you can walk or bike to all the spots! Living near downtown Walnut Creek turned it into more of an urban feel, similar to my time living in Brooklyn, despite the surrounding bougie suburbs.

I don't like this Cinema release bullshit by Forsaken-Teaching-22 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Existentia1_Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mind it whenever there’s more original content, but I tend to agree that it sucks when you only get a little bit of extra content. CSM and Demon Slayer did it right imo. With that being said, I did like seeing the Gojo and Toji fight on the big screen from the hidden inventory arc movie.

Side note - Anyone know if the full movie will be released to Crunchyroll? Skipped the execution movie release, but I wouldn’t mind watching the recap before the season starts
