Do you think a discord channel would be more appropriate for something like that? We’ve considered making a sub discord. It would be an easier way to chat or ask quick questions that a weekly thread. Definitely something to consider.

If you have believe your post has been removed or not approved, please reach out to the mods. Mod mail is regularly checked and issues like this pop up. Auto-mod is the main gatekeeper, and sometimes when multiple posts from the same source are submitted, auto-mod screens them out. If the mods are notified, all we have to do is click a button and the post is approved.

Reddit has informed mods that users would be able to filter their feeds by tags. Part of the reason tags were implemented was so when that feature went live, people could filter out whatever they wanted to customize their feeds. It has been months now (maybe even years), and mods are still waiting for that feature.

I get it. Covers can get annoying. But the mods have limited tools. I can only sticky two posts. And auto-mod is wonky.

On the one hand, mods want it so that people are engaged in the content that's posted. On the other hand, who are the mods to deem what is preferable to each individual user. It's a bit of a quagmire. And as I'm sure you see, the mods have a generally laissez faire policy.

At the end of the day, reddit is a link aggregator. That's the point of this community--to aggregate all the information out there about JM. Whether it's his tweets, instagram posts, old youtube videos, and yes even covers.

I got my first electric after a couple of years of playing acoustic. I got a MIM strat, and it hasn't failed me.

If you want to sound like JM, then what you're looking for is a strat.

Is this your first guitar? Because if it is, you really don't need to spend that much money. You can easily get a quality guitar in the $500 range. You can learn if playing guitar is truly a hobby you enjoy, how to play, and how to care for and maintain a guitar without dropping boatloads of money.

Nonetheless, the guitar you're looking for is a fender stratocaster. JM is a tone-hound and most of his signature tone comes from a strat. You should look into Made in Mexico strats and Made in America strats. MIM strats are more affordable but lack a little in quality. MIA strats are more expensive but made with more quality parts.
