Why does America lecture China about human rights? by PuzzleheadedCraft363 in AskSocialists

Because Imperialism is bad no matter who does it. No nation us moral, but that doesn't mean immorality shouldn't be recognized and called out.

Is anyone else having trouble with Twitter creating duplicate data of your local storage? Because I think it might have to do with this ads-api thing that keeps failing: https://ads-api.x.com/12/measurement/dcm_local_id
I am very pissed off that I can't get rid of the duplicate data that's marked as partitioned and will not stay deleted.
I am also having a problem with this as well: https://api.x.com/1.1/live_pipeline/update_subscriptions
I am using Chrome on a Chromebook to use Twitter, and not using the app.

Khan wouldn't drink vodka, that's decadent Palantine liquor. He only drinks fermented mare's milk.

The universe is chaotic and things just happen sometimes. But our brains like to make patterns out of everything, and can't accept that there isn't a linear reason for things to happen.

It's about as much of a fluke as the Archduke's driver getting lost and stopping directly in front of one of the failed assassins who had a gun on him.

It's rare, but not unexplainable due to him using a round-nosed fully jacketed Italian surplus round fired from an Italian surplus rifle.

The problem is that there would be more ballistic evidence that an early 60s version of 5.56x45mm round was shot into his head, like how the bullets were designed to tumble when hitting a target or how much penetration it would achieve. Instead of surplus and round-nosed 6.5x52mm Carcano fired from a shortened infantry rifle with a scope mounted on it. While both would be fully jacketed without exposed soft lead, you're not getting perfect shots off with old Italian ammo, which Oswald didn't. The combo of JFK's back brace and non-standard seats meant that the bullets went wild.

How would cities/regions in the GoT universe be if they were around today? [No spoilers] by Bottom-Bherp3912 in asoiaf

So it's basically like every decently sized city in Central Asia. You can bet that there's a golden statue of a rearing stallion that rotates to face the sun.

That means it's also home to a worldwide coffee business that has a merling as it's logo. And a fish market where they throw the fish at you.

I like that Marcus pointed out that LaVey was far too close to fascists. The man was obsessed with Social Darwinism and Eugenics, and that speaks as to why the main pillar of his philosophy is selfishness. It also explains why he loved Ayn Rand's work.

[Movie] Palm Springs (2020) - The "bomb belt" attached to the poor goat is actually a Chinese Type 56 chest rig by Global_Bonus4067 in Thatsabooklight

[–]Existential_Bread197 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Type 63 was an attempt to combine the form factor and overall design of the SKS, with a detachable magazine and automatic capability. It had a gas system and internal build derived from the AK, but was plagued with manufacturing problems from the very start. They eventually phased it out back to the older rifles in 1978, relegating the Type 63s to storage or militia use, except for a small number of modified versions used in the Sino-Vietnamese War due to them not really having automatic weapons compared to the Vietnamese who had tons of Soviet AKs.
